I have an ADR at Les Chefs for lunch but keep second guessing whether we should try to get it for dinner instead. I thought I read somewhere lunch portions are smaller... since we're on free dining I want the most meal for my $$ and I'm wondering if it is that much of a difference. Thanks!!

Had lunch there a while back, the 3 course meal was large enough that DD and I shared it. (Oh yeah, we were OOP too, no DDP). OF course Free Dining has ruined most establishments menus and they may have reduced the portion size. Still, I would think that soup, sandwich with green salad and dessert is an adequate lunch.

You will get more for your "buck" by going to the restaurant for Dinner. However, I would check out the menus on Allears.net and decide which menu looks best as there are some variations between lunch and dinner. If you are on the basic DDP, you might be more inclined to want an OOP appetizer for diner, plus the prices are higher, so the tip may cost you more as well, it this be the case, then maybe you get more bang for your buck at lunch. :confused3

is remy there now? I was sure I watched a video on youtube where he spoke to guests, but now I can't find anything and my granddaughter wants to see him there. Also, just to clarify, this restaurant is on the disney dining plan?

We were there Friday night with a 5:40 ADR (seated around 6 PM, out around 7) and I did not see Remy during this time. While we were waiting (5:30 - 6 PM), I did see them bring out Remy.

We've had lunch there a couple of times and have been pleased with the food selections and portion sizes.

We have done both and I prefer lunch because of the yummy quiche! Plus it is a nice way to take a mid day break

Thanks for all the info! DH is wanting the Bouillabaisse on the dinner menu... I'm leaning toward lunch. I haven't been able to get a dinner ressie all day, but it doesn't sound like we will be disappointed either way.

Trekki - I think Remy is only there through Sept 5th, so that won't matter for us anyways :)

Keep trying for ressies-I just booked mine yesterday for 9/6. Try late at night (around 11). It seems like a lot of things open up then. I've been trying for weeks to get Chefs and there was never anything available.

I hope they extend Remy for a couple more days! I can't imagine why they wouldn't keep him around. He seems like a popular attraction.
