I am seriously considering not utilizing the DDP for my December trip and I am beginning to crunch the numbers :teacher: (DDP = too much food, but a good deal; Also, some of the things I want to do would not be feasible to use DDP, i.e. Afternoon Tea at GF, lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby).

I see DVC members get a 20% discount on lunch at Chefs De France. Does anyone know if you can get the lunch "French Menu" and receive the DVC discount, or must you order from the regular lunch menu? :flower3:

Yes, you can get the "French Menu" and anything else on the menu and still get your 20% discount. We have never done the DDP because we have never spent as much on food as the DDP would cost us. There are lots of great DVC discounts, including 20% at Chefs and Marakesh, 30% at Fulton's Crab House, 20% at HOB, etc. Also, the Swan/Dolphin has 20% discounts on most of their restaurants as well.

Does anyone know if you can get the DDE card and use that discount in addition to the discounts offered for DVC? That would really be a sweet deal!! :cloud9:

We got lunch w/the discount and 2 adult entrees, 2 kid meals, 2 shared desserts, and a glass of wine came to 47$.

It was a much better deal than the DDP. :thumbsup2

that would be a sweet deal but they won't let you do that if they did we'd be getting 50-60% off

Agreeing with Kurby - Disney doesn't let you "stack" discounts. You must pick one or the other. Can't have both.
