I am considering adding Chefs de France to my list but keep going back and forth. The main reason being everytime I look at the menu I want to try the tomato and goat cheese tart and the french onion soup. As if that isn't enough cheese the macaroni and cheese is also calling my name. So my questions are:

1. How is the cheese on the tart and soup, is it a lot and very heavy? I love french onion soup if it is done right. Would that be cheese overload?
2. I am thinking having the mac and cheese would be too much and I will end up with a huge stomach ache...any other entree recommendations?
3. How are the kids meals? They look pretty basic on the menu and it hasn't appealed to my DD which is another reason I haven't added it yet.

HI there! Amazingly enough, you just hit on my very favorite combo, LOL!

My whole family loves Chefs, and one of the things my 11 y/o and I do is each order the French Onion soup, and then we split the mac and cheese.

Not too much cheese, and the macaroni is a HUGE portion! The soup is very, very good (can't make it like that at home) and is fairly filling in itself, so the two combined would probably be too much if you tried to eat the whole mac and cheese portion.

Other than that, though, I'd try the quiche at lunch, or the prix fixe chicken meal. The creme brulee for dessert is excellent, IMO!

Oh, and the kids meals are fairly bland - that's why even when my girls were under age we let them split a meal from the adult menu. Caveat - we don't do the dining plan, so YMMV as far as that goes.

Thanks for the response. I always forget about splitting meals. My DD loves macaroni and cheese so that may be the way to go. At this point not planning on doing the dining plan so that won't be a problem. Now I just have to figure out where to fit it in. :)

The mac and cheese is amazing, as are the short ribs - the tuna is not great though, i'd avoid that (and i am a tuna lover). I actually prefer the CS at France rather than the TS...I would save my TS for either Restaurant Marrakesh or Le Cellier...

The tomato and goat cheese tart is pretty big. Think small pizza. I could not finish that and the soup, let alone another course. I would think even splitting all 3 of those with your daughter would stil be a lot of food. I usually end up taking 2 pieces of that tart in a to go box back to the hotel.

The soup is decent, not the best I've had but we are talking amusement park and for that, it's pretty good. The tart has big chunks of goat cheese on it. My husband, who is not a huge fan of goat cheese, does not like it but I love it.

I've never tried the mac and cheese.
