I planned a character breakfast at Chef Mickeys and have a PS for 8:30am. Is this a good time? What kind of food do they serve? Do they do anything special there? (this is our first time going to disney as a family.. I was there before my son was born but didn't do a character breakfast...) Please give me as much info as possible. It'll be my son's birthday when we go. (should I bring id to prove it or is that necessary - I lose things easily so would rather just leave it in our room) Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

You will have a great time, my DH and some friends have PS there for dinner our first night. I've been there for breakfast many times. Check out this website for the menu for CHef Mickeys and all other restaurants on WDW property- http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm#mk

I'm sure you'll find it very helpful! We'll be there on 3/5 celebrating my b-day (2/27) and my 2 girlfriends (2/1 & 2/28). I'm assuming they won't ask for any ID- especially for a child! You and your family will love CHef Mickey's, the food is great and the it's a fun atmosphere. THe characters will come right up to your table for pics and autographs. Have a great time!!!

Chef Mickey's is part of our must do list. I haven't been there that early-- we usually go for one of the latest breakfasts on our checkout day.

The food is an extensive full b reakfast buffet with everything from cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit, multiple egg dishes, Mickey pancakes and waffles, sausuages, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, breakfast pizza, and pastries, to desserts.

Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale will all come to your table to say hello, sign autographs and pose for pictures. There's a big sing-along of a Celebration song when everyone twirls their napkins. You might be able to have your son recognized then. Also, they take a family photo as you enter with a staged giant plate. they bring the pictures to your table during your meal. You aren't obligated, but I've never been able to say no!

Have a blast!

How much for the pictures? I didn't even know they did that!

I'd be interested in knowing how much the pics are too... Also, how much is it to develop digital pics at the parks?

I wish I could remember: they bring a package with like one or two 5x7's in cute paper frames, a key chain and several wallet sized prints. I want to say $28 range, but I'm completely guessing.

I'm pretty cheap, but I have this Disney problem, too. ;)

We just returned from DisneyWorld yesterday and we did the Chef Mickey's breakfast Thursday for our grandson's 2nd birthday. The picture package they bring to you is quite the bargain. You get two 5x7's in paper frames, a keychain picture, picture magnet and two wallets for $26.74. I asked how much for just the 5x7's and they were $13.99 each so the package is a better way to go. You will love Chef Mickey's and the food is actually good.
Have a great trip.
