I am starting toplan my trip and wondering should I do Chef mickeys Breakfast or Lunch? Any advantage for either or something special one has???

We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and absolutely loved it!! It is a must do for this year's trip. I don't know about breakfast or lunch but we loved dinner so much we didn't want to change

Have fun!!

There is no lunch at Chef Mickey's. Only breakfast and dinner. They are both very good.

This is correct. We did a dinner at Chef Mickey's this past December and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to doing another dinner this November. I thought there was a pretty good selection of food as well.

Have never been for the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that.

I just found that out as well on allears. Thanks though. Dinner it is.

I've never tried breakfast or lunch, but dinner is alot of fun!

I would do breakfast over dinner (they don't serve lunch). I've done breakfast twice in the past and it was good.

I had dinner there on my last trip and it was the worst meal I've ever had at WDW. Total waste of money. :crazy2:

Is your party into a big buffet breakfast? If not, I would do the buffet dinner.

Terk-1, what was it you didn't like? The food the service the atmosphere? If it was food what was wrong with it?

We have gone to Chef Mickeys for dinner during our last three trips (over 3 years) and have enjoyed it each time. Some years were a little better than others but overall the food is good (not spectactular), desserts are very good and the characters have always been wonderful. We usually go our first night as it puts us in the Disney frame of mind. This year however we are going to wait for my parents and brother's family to join us. There will be 11 of us to celebrate mom and dad's 50th anniversary, my mother chose Chef Mickeys for this dinner.

I would choose dinner over breakfast, but I am not a breakfast-foods person. My family tends to like the breakfast buffet, though. Everything always looks yummy, but I don't like pancakes, waffles, etc.

We've never had a bad meal at Chef Mickey's. It's always a blast, especially when the characters dance and encourage everyone to join in the fun (do they still do this?).

Can't wait to go!!!

:smooth:

We just stayed at the CR, so Chef Mickeys was too easy to eat at -- therefore, we ate dinner there twice and breakfast once! The dinner menu changes nightly (well, the main items anyway), so we would check out the menu each night before we decided if we were going to eat there. We did not have PS's -- we were just walk-ins each time and never had to wait very long. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner very much and will definitely return during our next visit to Disney.

I, too, am interested in what Terk-1 didn't like about the dinner. It's pretty expensive and it would be a shame to spend so much money on a terrible dinner.

Hi Jasminesmommy, just wanted to put my two cents in. We love Chef Mickey's and our favorite way to do it is to have breakfast at one of the last seatings of the morning. We usually make our PS for 11:20. The waits aren't long at that time of day, the characters spend lots of time at each table, the food is still VERY plentiful and it's a nice break mid day from the parks. We were there just a couple of weeks ago and the hostess in our section made sure that we were able to see all of the characters before they "went to prepare dinner". They left the floor around 12:00 noon. We weren't hurried in the least to finish and leave and they were still brining out more food as we were getting ready to leave about 12:15 or so. Just my opinion, but we think that it's the best time to go!

We just went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast this morning and out of all the character meals, this was my favorite. We ate at 8:40 and the food was awesome. My favorite were the little mickey waffles, very cute. ::yes:: We weren't in the main room but the characters still spent a lot of time with us and at every table. I was licked by Pluto and kissed on the hand by Dale. DF got his picture taken with Mickey and there is a great view of the castle and a lot of the Magic Kingdom. It was so cute. It is a definite for all of our trips to come. :Pinkbounc :bounce:
