If it is true, when does this begin?

As far as I know they opened for lunch @ the end Aug for free dinning to handle the crowds. Not sure if they are keeping it open .

I don't think the lunch will be a regular thing. You could call Disney Dining and ask if they will offer it when you're there.

Its' only during free dining when they are open for lunch, because I have never seen them open for lunch during Christams and New Years.

They did open the week after Christmas in 2006 for lunch...I went. I heard from a CM they have opened during the time they recognize as Spring Break in the past. Maybe they don't do this every year or during the times that you are there but it did happen the time I was there... sorry to cause and issue ...Also the PP has said she has an adr for this year in Dec...they must be doing it again this year.
