Chef Mickey's

A friend who just came back from Disney went to the Contemporary and told me that Chef Mickey's is boarded up and closed. Is this true?

I thought it was crazy too but he was just so insistent. I knew that I had not read of a closure while the Contemporary was being renovated.

Was he on the right floor? They had removed the concourse steakhouse to expand chef mickeys but it is definately not closed

When we were there in June, the location of the Concouse Steakhouse was boarded up all the way to where Chef Mickey's begins, but you can still see some of the stuff and you can certainly hear the noise coming from there

We just had dinner there on 8/2. Definitely open for business!!

We had dinner there last week, and it is very open. I can see how he could think that though, you do have to go past a boarded up area, to get to it. If you are on the same floor as the resturant and you just look where you think it should be, it would look boarded up.

We had breakfast there 8/10 and there are definately lots of boards that were not there last year. But...it is open for business .

If you were just passing by on the Monorail, it may appear that it is closed by the way the construction walls are located. However, we just at there a few weeks ago and have an ADR for next month again so it's open.

They are not closed. They even added lunch during free dining!

If you just look at it I can see how the mistake was made.
The construction goes get in the way and can lead ome to believe Chef Mickey's is closed.
But stay to the left and yes it is definately open.

Yep lots of boards up around the restaurant but I did see a sign that said "Chef Mickey stroller parking" so I knew I was close but I still had to ask a CM how to get to the check in stand. It is confusing, but still open.

Aren't they closing the Outer Rim Bar next to Chef Mickey's?? Mayeb that is what the boards are for
