We are thinking about going to Chef Mickey's on our upcoming trip this June. Our 2 children (ages3 and 1) are not morning people at all and we were thinking about going there for dinner(although I know it is very popular for breakfast). I was just wondering what your thoughts are of Chef Mickey's for dinner and how far in advance I need to get reservations with it being a popular character meal. We will probably make ADR in another month or so because we are still deciding on exact dates. Should we still be able to get in?

We LOVE Chef Mickeys, though we have not gone there for dinner, so I can't really help on that part. Coud you do a late breakfast seating, say around 10:30ish?

As for ADRs, you need to make them soon! You can always change them later once your dates are firmed up. Trust me, I waited and waited to make ADRs on our first few trips, which were in Nov and Dec. When I did try to make them about 4 months out, a lot of places were filled for when we wanted them. With our trip coming up next week, I made ADRs at exactly 180 days out and we are in everywhere. So my point is try to make it soon, you can try to change it later/cancel if need be.

Chef Mickey's dinner is great! Last time we were there (2006) there was carved prime rib, peal & eat shrimp, pork loin, pastas and the best mashed potatos in the world.

There are many different characters too! We loved it and will be there this Sunday night on our upcoming trip!

We love Chef Mickey's for dinner! The characters are great! I would book it as soon as you can.

We love breakfast AND dinner at Chef Mickey's! I really like the mashed potatoes at dinner.

Have a great time!

We rarely do Character meals for breakfast because we're not huge breakfast eaters. Chef Mickey's is great for dinner. It's my kids' favourite buffet. Definitely make an ADR as soon as you decide because they can be hard to get if you wait too late.

Chef Mickeys is great! This is one of our faves. We have never been for breakfast always dinner!

We love both the breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's! We go there on every trip as the whole family enjoys the characters and the food. We alternate each time we go between breakfast and dinner. Definitely book now if you are interested!

I'm usually in the minority, but I really enjoyed Chef Mickeys for dinner. We went last July and December and its been great for us. :goodvibes

We brought our kids there for dinner in July. I didn't expect to like it as much as breakfast but DS wanted his birthday dinner there. We loved it! I would suggest trying dinner:goodvibes

You can go for "lunch" as breakfast seatings are made late into the morning (11, 11:15) if you like. That's when we went and found the food, service and characters to be fresh, fun and plentiful.

Thanks for posting. We are planning to do dinner at Chef Mickeys this July. I'm glad it got great reviews. :) :)

Chef Mickeys for dinner = yummy!

Go - have fun. :)

I've only been to Chef Mickey's for dinner but we love it! Food is great (especially the mashed potatos) and character interaction is fun. We've now done it twice as a first night activity - it's a great start to the vacation. :thumbsup2 Make ADR's as soon as possible, especially if you will be there on a weekend.
