What can you guys tell me about Chef Mickeys? I looked over all of the character meals and i think we're going to do Chef Mickeys for lunch. Out of all the meals I think my kids will enjoy these characters the most. Any advice on times for reservations or anything?

Unless you mean late breakfast, or early dinner, lunch isnt happening (I dont think...)Heres my advice other than that. Only you know if you and yours would enjoy a breakfast or dinner more. My dd and I are more dinner than breakfast peeps. DH is a mutt and doesnt care, as long as it is hot and fresh :rotfl: The one place my 14y old (who hasnt been since she was 7 or 8) asked for was CMs (for herself) She asked for Crystal Palace and Pizza Planet for her baby sis

I don't know if Chef Mickey's is open for lunch. We had a 5:10pm ADR and the restaurant was closed when we got there 15 min early. It reopened at 5pm. That was an excellent time to go because the restaurant wasn't that crowded when the characters first came out and we got lots of attention from them before it started filling up. The food was good and they have an excellent "make your own sundae" bar with about 6 different toppings. It was also neat to take the monorail there and then watch it go right through the restaurant.

Chef Mickey's doesn't have lunch. I'd do a late breakfast, ask for the latest seating,a and count that for your lunch that day. We love the breakfast!

Yeah, guess I was thinking late breakfast. I was also looking at 1900 Park Fare - my boys LOVE Mary Poppins.

We LOVE Chef Mickey's for breakfast. The character interaction is plentiful!

I love Chef Mickeys for Breakfast. It is a great way to start the day or better your Disney Vacation.

The food is good but characters are awesome. I took my son there for his 8th birthday and it was awesome. Mickey came over with a cupcake and a candle and once he blew out the candle he fed my son cake. I know he was a bit old but he still loved it.

We eat at CM's at least twice every trip. Always for dinner. We did a breakfast years ago, but we just aren't big into the breakfast scene. If you can get one of the last dinner res. you will have a ball with the characters. They seem to get really "loose" at the end of the night and the kids have a ball....well so do the adults!

If you want a character luch then it may be worth you looking at Crystal Palace.

We had a 10:30 breakfast there last week. We are not big breakfast eaters, but we LOVED it! We will definitely make it a must do on future trips. Character interaction was fantastic - not rushed at all! We were there about 2 hours and saw all the characters at least 3 times. We even got a great family picture with Goofy as we were leaving. He posed all of us then jumped in the picture (someone at the check-in counter took the pic.). It was really cool!!!

We were so full we skipped lunch and had an early dinner. It worked out great!

I would definitely do CM!! The characters are awesome and you get the big cheese himself. Lots of opportunities for great pictures. A late breakfast would work great.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I do think CM is going to be something we will do. I just bought the unofficial guide yesterday and am about 1/2 way through. I'm thinking I will have it all pretty well planned out in a week or so and then I can make any reservations I need to make.

Good choice!!! We loved CMs!!!

CM's is great! We celebrated my daughters 6th birthday there in 2002. The kids (1, 3, 6, & 8 at that time) had a blast as well as the adults. The characters fawned all over the kids and made it a great experience. When I asked where they wanted to eat on our upcoming trip CM's was top on their list. You will have a great time.

we were at CM a few weeks ago, and DS 4 didn't like the characters but by the time we left he liked Chip and Dale they were great with him they came by the table about 4 times each, Mickey and Minnie wouldn't give him the time of day so I was very happy with Chip and Dale. The food was OK I thought, I liked Donald's breakfast at AK much better. Nancy

We are eating dinner at CM's for the first time in August. I'm so looking forward to it! We really aren't huge breakfast people so we're doing dinner. My kids are older (well, 9 and 11) so I'm so excited that they want to do a character meal! It's been awhile! DD11 loves Goofy, so I hope to get some good interatctions and a couple of great pics too!
