I have read so many great reviews and post on the breakfast, but can't recall much about the dinner.

Is the food good? How is the interaction for the kids?

My son is 10, and just started getting into characters last Sept., due to his Asperger's (we are returning this Sept.), and I am trying to help him to make up for missed time (for the trips he wouldn't even look at a character).

Are the dinner characters as involved as I hear the breakfast time ones are?

My gang just won't be able to handle a breakfast TS, too lazy to get up early.

Thanks for any input

I have been there for dinner a few times and have always really enjoyed it. I have never understood the appeal of character breakfasts because in the mornings my kids just want to get going to the parks and I am lucky if I can stuff half a donut in them before they are on their first ride. I like the dinners alot better because it is the end of the day, we can relax and not worry about the crowds at the park and just enjoy the experience.
The dinner has a good variety of foods on it. Even all of my picky kids have been able to find things that they like on there.

We did the dinner this last trip and loved it. My DH is a no go on breakfast so dinner was a much better option. The food was tasty and had a wide variety. DH loved the all you can eat prime rib..yum. The characters came to the tables and signed autographs and posed for pictures. We did some kind of dance where we swung our napkins around and got all rowdy..good fun. The kids loved it and DH, DMIL and myself had a great time too. Check out the menu on www.allearsnet.com.
Hope you have a great trip. :teeth:

It is how we start of our trips. We have dinner the night we arrive at Chef Mickey's. My family loves it

Thanks. This does sound like the better choice for us, between breakfast and dinner. We already made the ADR's for dinner, but I know as the time gets closer DS will ask more about it.

We love Chef Mickey's dinner- We found the character interaction to be very good- I think your son will like it alot- there was acharacter visiting our table about every 5-10 minutes- and they were really friendly.
The food is a buffet and for buffet food- I would rate it as pretty good.- A few things were really good.

We ate at Chef Mickey's twice last week for dinner..May 12 & May 18th.

We love it!!

Both nights, we were "swamped" with the characters immediately after being shown to our table. The characters kept coming, one after the other. DH & I joked about never getting to the buffet to fill our plates.

We had seen all of them within the first 20 minutes.
Minnie was not there the first night ...very unusual, but they said she wasn't feeling well. Baloo (spelling?) was there instead. The kids were fine with that, knowing we were going again later in the week.

DD11 & DS8 had a great time & our pictures came out great.
We purchased the picture packages both nights.
