Chef Mickey's Without an ADR...Any Chance?

Has anyone ever gotten into Chef Mickey's as a walk in? Do they even take walk ins? Hoping for a late-ish lunch before MVMCP and have had no luck scoring an ADR. Should I even try to walk in or just plan somewhere else before the party?

I would say it is highly unlikely. That place stays booked up. The night before or even morning of are good times to snag ADRs of people who cancel last minute.

In my experience, popular Disney restaurants like Chef Mickeys that are showing as fully booked in the app are in fact fully booked. We have seen MANY people turned away at the podiums of various restaurants after inquiring about walk-up availability. Most ADRs will open up the day before as people cancel before the cancellation fees kick in. However, you say late lunch, but what time exactly do you mean? Just want to be sure the issue is not that you are searching just for 3pm or something, because CM today, for example only accepts lunch reservations until 2:30.

Not only are they usually fully booked, but they are also usually running behind in their seating. I think your best bet would be to try to search the night before to see if you can find an opening that someone cancels last minute. I definitely wouldn't bother to show up without an ADR though.

Thanks. I have been checking for anything between 1pm and 2:30pm. Was hoping for some Mickey time before heading to MVMCP at 4pm as we are doing a quick 48 hour trip. Based on everyone's feedback, I think I will keep checking, especially the day before but not really bother. We can find Mickey somewhere else. Thanks!

@khnanrsn don't forget to set up a restaurant search at Touring Plans. It's free and allows you to dedicate up to two searches at time. In your case I'd put in searches for 2 different hours which will narrow down to a 4 hour period that's desirable for the time you want to go.

I did set one up a couple of weeks ago, but didn't think to do it with two different times. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for suggesting that I put a second alert on. I changed it from lunch to two specific times two hours apart. Randomly last night my phone buzzed with an alert and I got a reservation! Woo hoo! Thank you @NYCgrrl
