Characteres aside, based only on the food, which would you prefer - dinner at CM's or 1900?

Remember, base your answer only on the quality of the food. Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

Based on food alone, hands down PARK FARE wins!!

We tried Park Fare for the forst time this past trip (2 weeks ago) and it was wonderful!!

I liked the variety and the quality of the food better than at Chef Mickeys. The service was GREAT too!

I have an almost 5yo DS and a 1yo DD and both enjoyed it immensely.

Take a look at the menus. That may help you make a decision.

But for us, Park Fare is now HIGH on our list to do again for dinner. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I concur, Park Faire is the character dinner to attend.
The choices are excellent. One of the best meals I have ever had while at WDW, I had at 1500 Park Faire.

:thumbsup2

I know I am in the minority here.. I would pick Chef Mickeys! We just got back from our trip-- 1900 on Saturday, Chef Mickeys on Tuesday evening. I think CM is great if you get there early? The food was great- fresh and hot. My favs there are the seafood salad in the chilled area, and I LOVE the desserts there-- esp. the mini cheescakes.

Park Fare was good too. I liked the chilled Strawberry soup, but thought Chef Mickey's food was WAY better.

Would eat both again though.. have a great trip- jen

I'm with you on Chef Mickey's. The earlier you go, the better the food, IMO. 1900 was good too, but I do prefer CM.

I really think they're both wonderful. We eat at both every year. I do have to say I have dreams about the Parmesan Mashed Potatoes at Chef Mickey. I think, though, that the menus are pretty similar so you can find what you like at either place, it's more about atmosphere and characters.

Food's about the same at both to be honest. Sometimes one is better, sometimes the other, sometimes one has more deluxe items, sometimes the other.
So pick the one with the characters you want.

My experience goes with the first group to respond. Chef Mickey's was in fact one of the worst buffet experiences I have ever had. Granted we arrived late in the evening but I found the buffet to have the appearance of scraps and the staff did little to keep the space clean at this point in the evening. Visited 1900 Park Fair last year and really enjoyed the quality of food for a buffet. The one disappointment I had last year was as we were going back to the park, we really limited our portions.
