I have reservations next month at Chef Mickey's for a party of 10. When I made my reservations I was told that they may have to split the party up in 3 different tables throughout the restaurant. Has anybody else had reservations and eaten at Chef Mickey's with a similar sized party and had trouble sitting at the same table or tables next to one another?

We have a number of times. We have always had to be split up, but also have always been close to each other.

Weve eaten there once with 8, once with 9, and once with 10 people and we have always been put together after being told we may not be.
Actually, the time with 8 we may have been at split tables but we were against the wall with a "booth" type seat for 4 people, and then 4 chairs across the table. If the tables were split it still felt like we were sitting together.

Would it be possible for you to make a ressie for 5pm, the first seating. I would think this would allow all of your party to sit together. I'm hoping to do this with our party of 14. Susan

We had 9 in July and 11 in December. Both times I stressed the importance of being all together. We arrived early for our PS and were able to be together. The wait was only slightly more than if they had split us up and worth us being together.

When CRO makes a PS they are looking at a Template of what is available. When they tell you that they had to book your party on multiple tables, that is because all of the large tables were already booked. All the "stressing" in the world that you MUST be seated together will not change the fact that the large tables were already spoken for and may not be available when you arrive with your large party.

Now, that does not mean that it is not possible that everything falls in place and your party is lucky enough to be seated together or at least on adjacent table, but remember it is not the seating staffs fault if this does not happen.

Like somebody else has mentioned, if you book very early in the evening, or when the restaurant first opens the staff has a greater opportunity to make a little magic. But, if your PS is between 7:30 and 8:30pm, expect the restaurant to already be in full swing and the possibility of adjacent tables being available at the precise time you arrive is very unlikely.

Final suggestion, take what you can get with CRO, arrive early, at least 30 minutes prior to your PS, arrive with your full party, don't send Uncle Charlie ahead of everybody else. Check in at the podium, tell them that you are booked on multiple table but you would really appreciate one table or two adjacent tables, tell them you are here early and everybody is ready to be seated, finally tell them you will patiently wait in the lounge or sit in the chairs "over there" until something was available.
