Chef Mickey's "Replacement" Meal

Hi All,

I have done it again - scheduled too many ressies!!!

We have done Chef Mickey's on every trip, and I love dining with the Fab 5.
This year, however, we also have 'Ohana and Tusker House in our plans.

Here are my thoughts -
'Ohana, I don't care about Lilo & Stitch, was just looking forward to breakfast at the Poly and getting lei'd. And you ALWAYS need a little Mickey in your trip.
Tusker House, have never been, booked an early lunch (11:15), heard great things about it.

So, would you say that Tusker House is a good character replacement for Chef Mickey's?
Should I just keep them all? LOL!
Any and all comments/thoughts are welcome!

Never ate at Tusker House before, but when we went last year to Ohana they didnt do the lei's anymore - nor the picture. So just FYI there!

We are skipping Chef Mickey's for the first time ever as well.

We received lei's in April. Although we had to ask. And there was a photo pass photographer down stairs with a Lilo and Stitch surf board.

Drop Ohana for breakfast. Ohana for dinner is a must do for us! You might want to try Capt Cooks at the Polynesian (counter service)? Try the tonga toast!

Tusker house will be a great replacement for Chef Mickey's. Better food.

You can have character breakfast at Cape May Cafe with the fab 4 (Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy) in beach outfit.

Just had breakfast there last Thursday....no Mickey. Only Minnie, Donald, & Goofy.

I really wasn't impressed with Tusker House. I'm probably in the minority but I'd pick Garden Grill over Tusker House and Chef Mickeys although I haven't been to CM in many years. Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale are there usually. And Goofy?

We've never done Chef Mickey's, but we've done Donald's Breakfast at Tusker house twice and loved it.

I'm not a buffet person so most character meals are lost on me, but Tusker House is the one and only exception. Not only are the characters great (you can't beat Mickey and friend in safari gear), but the food is the best on a buffet I've ever had. So in case its not obvious it shouldn't be missed ; )

For Ohana if you aren't big on the characters and wanna visit the Poly, I'd suggest Kona. They have the absolute best breakfast on property IMO.
