Hello,

I'm thinking of booking a reservation in the future for a December 2008 celebration of my college graduation trip. Do people my age do this sort of thing with the characters? I've heard of CM's putting signs on the table and such about special occasions, do they do this with graduations so the characters can see it or is this like just with kid's birthdays?

How is the food at Chef Mickey's?

If I do it, thinking of scheduling a late breakfast and just leaving from there and heading home. I know they close at 11:30 AM but how late is too late to schedule it? I'm sure the characters(don't know if kids read this board or not) want to leave and go to the bathroom and such or has anyone found they stay a little late and spend time with people?

Thanks for any help!
Amy

I say go for it!! I'm 22 and I love the Character meals. On my last trip I did Dinner at the Crystal Palace, it was great!! I prefer the Character meals to standing in the Character lines at the Parks. I can't give you too much info about Chef Mickey's because I haven't been there in years, but I'm sure you'll get some great responses! Just remember, you are never too old for anything in Disney World!! :o)

Chef Mickey's is a must every time we go! We always eat a late breakfast(brunch). The characters are great and each one will spend plenty of time at your table. It doesn't matter how old your kids are!(DS 12)

We just ate at CM on Christmas Day.

It is great & a "must do" for us every trip.

I have never seen a sign placed on any tables to announce any type of celebration (birthday, anniversary, etc.). I do know for birthdays that they will have a pre-signed b-day placemat on the table & will present the b-day person with a cupcake. This happened to us in May on my MIL's b-day.

I'm not sure what they would do for a graduation, but make sure you have it noted on the ADR.
