I was looking at the menu on Mousesavers and it says tax/gratuity not included and then says 15% service charge for parties larger than 8. Is that service charge considered gratuity? I would like to think that they would not charge 15% more just to be there and still expect gratuity on top of that but it's just worded funny.

Thanks!

When I made my reservations the CM told me that because we were a party of 8 that an auto 15% grautity would be added to our bill. She didn't mention anything else.

Arn't we already paying enough for this meal......

that is the grautity. remember the person that is the server doesn't get paid the price of the meal so the price isn't their fault ,just remember to tip them 15-20% they work for tips. my DD 21 is a server in a chain restaurant and people don't leave good tips but here in nj servers make $2.13 an hour and after taxes on that pay and taxes on the tips her paycheck is void so she just works for tips so ,remember the servers they also clean the mess some people let their children leave behind and ever though you get charged 15% on parties of 8 you can leave extra so it makes 20 % if they were good to you, but at a buffet 15% is okay

Thanks I just wanted to make sure that we didn't "stiff the waitress" since they are calling it a "service charge" and not gratuity. We'll have a party of 14 so we'll be quite a crew :)
