Chef Mickey's & Parking

We are staying off site and have reservations at Chef Mickeys for a late breakfast. It is our "off" day so we planned on driving there, having breakfast, maybe riding the monorail around once, and then driving elsewhere for the day. (Any ideas with 3 under 7? Maybe the Boardwalk or the afternoon at SeaWorld with the "free" tix)

Question is - can we still park for free at the Contemporary while we eat? What is the time frame, will we have time to do a joy ride on the monorail? Can you pay for another hour, etc? We'd like to ride the monorail that day rather than our day at MK.

Also-we are celebrating DS 2nd b-day there and I've added it as a celebration to the reservation - do I need to request a small cupcake separately for that or by adding a celebration, do they know already?

Self parking is free. They will usually give a three hour parking pass if you're eating at the resort. You can't pay for self parking or extra time in self parking. If you want to leave the car there longer, you can pay for valet.

Usually noting the birthday on the reservation will get you a cupcake or at least a birthday song or wishes - they seem to generally have the cupcakes but none of that is guaranteed, so it's possible they could do nothing.

When you arrive at the Contemporary you should get a 3 hour parking pass because you are only going there to eat at Chef Mickey's. However if you think you might be there longer then 3 hours it's best to Valet Park when you arrive and the cost is $12.00 + a tip.

Thank you! Sounds like valet parking it is. Do they only take cash?

I called the restaurant about the cake and they said they always have the mickey cupcakes on hand for birthdays so we'll just get that.
