which would you pick?

which is better food & character interaction? I'm leaning toward tusker house, but chef mickey's just seems like the classic disney spot (plus, we get to ride the monorail! :yay: ). I've read some bad reviews about the food and construction noise there, though, so I can't decide.

if I do go with chef mickey, what ADR time should I try to get so we can be at MK for 9:00 rope drop?

thanks!

We liked the food better at Tusker House but thought the character interaction was better at Chef Mickey's. Really, you can't go wrong with either one, have a great time with whichever you decide!

This is what I said the last time this was asked:

Tusker House: Better food/variety, didn't feel as cramped

Chef Mickey: Better photo

Both: Good character interaction and great servers

one perk you might ask about for Tusker House is if they start seating before the park opens. I messed up last summer and booked us there on an early opening day, but my understanding is that on days when they open at the regular time, you can still get into the park early by booking at Tusker House.

If you do that, ask when Fast Pass starts so someone from your party can run out to get everyone FPses for the Safari. It's an easy way to not have to wait in line for it...and you're at the back of the park while everyone else is still working their way in!

We loved Tusker House...much less crowded than the old Restaurantasaurus was. The food was great. The service was superb...there was a high school band seated just after us and the staff made sure all the families got through the buffet before they released the 150 or so kids!

The picture opportunities were great. They came around several times to make sure everyone had gotten pictures.

I've never done Chef Mickey's, just because we want to spend park hours in the parks, but I can heartily recommend Tusker House.

Tusker House. DD and I will not go back to CM. Characters were great, but the food was not. I love characters but it's a high price to pay. We tried it twice just to make sure and it was the same both times.

We did both and we loved both of them. We however, had an early ressie at Tusker House and just as the rope dropped we were there and headed right for the Safari ride...
