We will be a party of 14 (includes 2 under-2s). Trying to decide between Chef Mickey's or Tony's for breakfast. Any thoughts? The kids will be 8, 6 (2 of them), 3, 2, and 1. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Moms and Dads, too.

absolutely love Tony's good morning breakfast!!!!! Pick that one!!!!!! There are so few people, the characters put on a show and serve breakfast.

We did it last year because we happened to have friends going at the same time. I am still hoping I can find someone to go with us this year just so we can do it again!!!

When did Tony's become a character meal and is that just for breakfast. Was this a one time occurance.

Only for Grand Gatherings at breakfast

Good Morning Gathering

Ciao! and welcome to Tony's Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. Here Tony invites you to enjoy a delicious all you care to eat breakfast. Mickey and Friends are there for treasured photos and fun interaction.

Tony will be happy to note special occasions. Guests celebrating anniversaries will be serenaded with "Bella Notte," the classic song from Disney's Lady & the Tramp. Following this memorable start to your day, you'll have preferred entry to "Mickey's PhilharMagic."

I would haven't been to either meal, but I would choose the "special" grand gathering experience.

oh...and to the OP. If money is not an issue (:rolleyes1) or you are on the DxDDP I would also consider the Grand Gathering Safari Dinner. That one is 2 credits. We really enjoyed that too.

It starts as a slow Kilimanjaro Safari ride and then there is a buffet at Tusker House with live African Music and dance show. Timon and Rafiki show up and get the kids to participate in the show.

Thanks for all the feedback! Unfortunately I am trying to convince the other members of my family (not as Disney-crazy as me :) ) that the Tony's GG would be a fun unique experience. They're already voting for chef Mickey's but I'm trying to work on them!

You can tell them that it is the same characters in a quieter setting already in the park with a FastPass for Philharmagic. Not to mention it is family style (they serve you) instead of a buffet. Plus you get to watch a show while you eat instead of waiting for the characters to do their rotation. Now I do like Chef Mickeys and we always go but this is so much more fun, more laid back, better character interaction, better food, and so many less people, no waiting for an ADR it starts at a certain time and that is that!

You can do chef mickey anytime.
