Which would you prefer? We will be celebrating a 5yr old girl's birthday. I've heard poor reviews of Chef Mickey's dinner buffet, so for that amount of money I would like to have decent food. But the character interaction is worth the money.

I would be excited myself to eat at either of these places. T-Rex looks wonderful, but again the characters at CM would be worth it.

please help :confused3

Chef Mickeys for breakfast! They give your child a cupcake and place mat...Everyone celebrates including the characters...The food at breakfast is much better than dinner...The breakfast is not too expensive

T-Rex is a fun place...The food is okay and tends to be at a higher cost...And they would not do nothing extra special for a birthday like CM!

...and loved them both. The characters were great at Chef Mickey's and the atmosphere at T-Rex was awesome. The food was definitely better at T-Rex and the smoking volcano dessert was really neat. Chef Mickey's is a buffet and you'll have plenty options. It's just nothing 'special', if you know what I mean.

One thing which might help tip the scales for you. I notice you have a one year old? Will they be frightened of the noise at T-Rex? It does get pretty loud when the asteroids are exploding every 20 minutes... Or will they be more frightened of large fuzzy characters coming up to the table?? Definitely keep the little one in mind when you make your decision because if they're scared it could ruin the experience.

All in all, I think it's a win-win decision. A 5yo will most likely love either experience.

You make a great point....I was so preoccupied for making this experience a memorable one for my dd birthday...I nearly forgot about our little guy!! Oops!! :scared1:

I think we should stay with CM...only because our little guy right now is obsessed with Mimi..(minnie mouse) :lmao:

Thanks to all for your input!!

Never been to T-Rex but my DS (6 at the time) loved Chef Mickey's! He even asked to go back there when we go back next year! :thumbsup2

I would definitely go with CM. With the little ones, T-Rex is very loud and could be scary for them. Plus, T-Rex is pricey. You will get more at CM.

As for birthdays, you still get the cupcake at CM. I went for my birthday in June of this year, and did not get the placemat. The CM told they had discontinued it. I always looked forward to it.:sad2:

Here will come again, Mickey (11/28/09).:woohoo:
