We're celebrating my DS's 3rd birthday. We've done Crystal Palace before (not with him but with my daughter), and we did enjoy it. But which restaurant do you think would be better for a character meal? He likes both sets of characters. Oh yeh, and we're talking lunch or dinner - not breakfast.

I think both are fun, but food quality-wise I would have to vote for Crystal Palace. Chef Mickey's is a liitle more rowdy, thouogh, and you may be looking for that while celebrating. Also, they usually take a picture of your party outside of the restaurant (which you would have to pay for) but which would be a great souvenier of the event.

Why don't you let your son know which characters will be at each, and let him choose. Also, it may work out that his birthday is the day he wants to spend in the Magic Kingdom and that would mean Crystal Palace.

Thanks 3forMe - anyone else have an opinion? With a little revamping of our plans, we probably could do a breakfast at either one. We just aren't morning people, but I'm always out for saving a little money.!!

We went to CP for the 1st time in Dec. and I was completely shocked at how good it was! We don't really enjoy the Pooh characters, but the food was great! We are already planning to go again this December! ;)
