We are considering Chef Mickeys or CP for dinner one night (late Oct). We are on a limited budget and would like to get the best bang for our buck. For those who have eaten at these places, which would you choose for a meal with a 2 yr old? She doesn't seem to have a preferance of characters. (DH refuses to do breakfast, so it has to be dinner) Thanks!

We have had breakfast (only) at both, and both were great! We felt a little less rushed at CM's, but don't expect a quiet meal at either. As far as atmosphere, I don't think you could go wrong at either. They take a photo of your goup at CM's (but it costs money to buy it)..butI've alwyas thought the crytal Palace would be cool to see at night. Although the Contemporary is only a short distance from MK, it might be less time consuming to eat at the CP with a little one.

I'd say chef mickey's all the way, I did both on my last trip for dinner and I truly did not enjot CP. The thing me and my fiancee liked the most was the fruit punch. Now chef mickey's on the other hand, we were upset we had no more room left because everything was sooOoo good. My fiance even had 2 plates...IMHO Chef Mickey's all the way :)

hmmmmm this is a tough one as i ate breakfast and dinner @ both the CP and CM on my visit last weekend. While breakfast @ CM was good, but not as good as it used to be. Breakfast was much much better @ CP. As for dinner both places served identical menus for dinner only difference being the characters. I enjoyed CM dinner a little more because our server was great compared to our server @ CP for dinner.

I say Chef Mickeys. We just got back on Monday and dinner at both CM and CP with a 2 yr old, and 2 4yr olds and they loved CM. The characters are so much more lively and they play great kid music and the kids can dance. We had a great time and the food was excellent!! The CP was just as good but the characters don't seem as fun just take a picture and move on. We have ate at CP several times and it is always a fav of ours but now after eating at CM I think it may be our new fav!!

Crystal Palace, by far! Chef Mickey's was a huge waste of money for us!

Definately CP -- I think the colors of the characters if nothing else are better for a 2 year old (since she has no preference on the characters themselves).

Also, if you read the boards CM's food has been inconsistant at best, especially the last several months. Unfortunately we hit the bad side of inconsistant and it was bad -- I was afraid of getting food poisoning bad on many items, which killed my appetite for anything that looked ok. On the other hand we loved our lunch at CP -- our second favorite buffet after 1900 Park Fare.
