We are going to stay at BC in June and want to do one character bfast. We have done the one at Polynesia and Restaurantasaurus and they were both GREAT. I've gotten mixed review about Chef Mickeys. The convience factor of Cape May being our hotel restaurant was leaning us there. We want good food and Mickey waffles, but also great fun - as it is our only character meal. Any suggestions - is Chef Mickey's super?

We've done Cape May for breakfast a couple of times and had wonderful character interaction and great food. I can't recall if they have the Mickey waffles, though. We generally get a late seating for our final day. If you're going to be at the BC, its a great location.

We've never had Chef Mickey's breakfast, but have done the dinner. Our more recent visits here haven't been as good as in the past (1999-2002 vs. 2004-on). The character interaction has been much more hurried and the food, while good, didn't impress us as much.

We love the food at 'Ohana for breakfast, but weren't as impressed at the Breakfastasaurus. But we did have very good character interaction at the dino meal. Hopefully that tells you how much weight you want to give my opinion!

Have a great time!

Cape May breakfest is great and the clam bake if they still have it is even better.

Personally, if I were staying at the BC, I'd do Cape May for breakfast. Who needs the hassles of traveling that early in the day? Convenience factor is HIGH on my list of priorities!

We had our post wedding breakfast buffet with guests (July 2005) at Cape May and YES, I am happy to report they had Mickey waffles because I took a picture of them!! :thumbsup2

We loved it!!

My family LOVES Chef Mickey's - we always have a great time there and Goofy's Veggie lasagne thing is one of my favorite things ever!

HOWEVER-

If I were staying at the Beach Club, you can bet the appeal of Cape May would draw us there instead. Why travel across WDW for a character breakfast if there is a nice one right down the hall? I can't think of a compelling reason, unless it's a particular character, subject to change. Take it with a grain of salt, as we haven't made it over to Cape May yet (though it is on my wishlist!).

They're both good fun. Cape May is restrained and intimate; Chef Mickey's ain't. It's boisterous, crowded and has quite a buzz. you'll enjoy either one.

I am not a fan of Chef Mickey's. I think it was too loud, the food was good though. I love going to Cape May, especially if I am staying at the BC.

We have done both and would repeat Cape May in a heartbeat. The room size alone made for manageable lines and the characters came around twice. They didn't seem as rushed and instead of just a quick autograph and picture they actually lingered and interacted. We loved it!

For you Cape May fans--do they have dessert available at breakfast? Here's my thinking: we just bought into BCV, not going until 2008, will have 4 kids (13, 11, 5, and 2 1/2). I was thinking Cape May due to the convenience. However, DS9 wants to go where "they had dessert for breakfast". I liked Chef Mickey's fine when we were there in August, but it seems like quite a haul with 4 kids just so my son can have ice cream or whatever caught his fancy, I can't even remember! I seem to recall candy at the breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, which might satisfy him, but I feel like an idiot for even considering knocking myself out so my son can have dessert for breakfast! OTOH, it is vacation, and Disney and special and all.

Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone knows.
