I will be staying at BCV and am trying to decide where to do my character breakfast. I know it would be easy to hit CMC since we are staying there, but I keep hearing CM is the best. What would you do?

I would go with "easy" and eat in your hotel. I have never had breakfast at Cape May, but I have had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It was nothing to write home about. I find much of the breakfast restaurants to be essentially the same, except for Boma which is much better.

Chef Mickeys is better. The food is the same. However, you have more charcters at Chef Mickey's including Mickey himself. At Cape May, it was goofy minnie chip and dale. You had those at Chef Mickey's plus the Mickster and Pluto. Also, Chef Mickey's is more wide open and you can watch the characters at other tables more easily.

We thought that the food was WAY better at Cape May. We also liked the atmosphere better too. The characters are cute at either one, but food and atmosphere won us over for Cape May. Much more relaxed.

Enjoy either choice! :goodvibes

I LOVE Cape May Cafe. Plus, you are staying at the BCV so think of all the time you'll save in the morning. The food is great there. Either way you will have a great experience.

We loved our breakfast at Cape May Cafe! The food was good and we loved seeing the characters in their beach outfits. The kids also liked being able to draw pictures on the table.

Any suggestions on what would be the best for small children? DD 2.5 years

Cape May is great. IT is the only buffet that we still continue to visit during our trips.

Another vote for Cape May. It has always been much less hectic and we have had much better character interaction there than CM.

Choose Cape May. The characters are not as rushed because the restaurant is just less crowded! We've always found that the characters are more interactive there and you get several visits from each, especially if you are seated early. As for food, I think they offerings and quality are virtually the same. If you are staying at BC, it is certainly less of a schlep!

Another vote for Cape May. The characters even got my "cool" college man/son to smile in the group picture! The food was good, the service was so/so, but the characters--and the time they spent with us--were great. Plus the restaurant is pretty and feels so beachy. We loved it and plan to go again!

I say Cape May as well. I thought the breakfast there was great -- food, service, and character interaction. We had a fantastic time!

Thank you for all your responses! I didn't realize on the DDP that I can do more than one character meal, so I decided to do both!!!!!! :cheer2:

Cape May is awesome. The character interaction is great since it is a smaller venue and the food is fantastic. We love this place and the characters are in bathing suits. It is a little quieter than CM and the characters are more likely to come several times and sit at your table and everything. This is a must do for us!

Sorry I am in the minority here. I hated Cape May. Didn't think there was a great selection. The characters almost missed us. We were there for the entire meal and were ready to leave when the characters finally made it to our table for the firtst time. I would go to Chef Mickey's anytime.
