Hey there!
WE are going to WDW next week and I made an ADR for Chef Mickeys. I am on the dining plan but I used all my meals and will be paying for this breakfast up and above our plan. My question is this... Is it worth the money? Is it worth having to go to MK just for the breakfast and then having to get out and go somewhere else for the day to avoid the Memorial day weekend crowds? I just want to make sure it's worth it before I go and not wish I had changed my plans. The reservations there are really hard to get so I don't want to cancel unless it really won't be worth while, what do you all think? :confused3

Chef Mickey's is not at the Magic Kingdom, it's at the Contemporary.

Definately worth the money!! :goodvibes

We have dinner at Chef Mickey's to start our trip and end with Chef Mickey's for breakfast. There is a great variety of food to chose from. The characters for breakfast usually include Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Pluto. They all come around to each table for interaction.

I always recommend Chef Mickey's to friends who go down to WDW and all have throughly enjoyed it. I hope you do as well. Have a great trip!!! :wave2:

One of our favorites. Always been our day of arrival dinner. Great way to kick things off.

Definately worth it! We had dinner there in January and the selection of food was great , the character interaction was the best of all CD's we did. My husband all ready told me that if I didn't book it for our next trip I'd be in BIG trouble!!! :thumbsup2

My BIL and SIL live in Orlando and SIL works in upper management at MGM. They have no children, but love to entertain all of their friends and family who bring their children. They always take everyone to Chef Mickey's. Last time we were at WDW, we didn't make reservations on time, so we couldn't go. This time, we're more on top of things, so the reservations will be made as soon as we can.

Anywhoo, they always recommend Chef Mickey's, if not take everyone there personally. They say it's Disney's best character dining experience as well as great food in their opinion. Hope this helps.

We had nice character interaction at all the character meals, but Chef Mickey's was the best. Except for my 7 month old nephew, all of us are adults, but the characters played with us as much as they did the kids there at Chef Mickey's. At the other character meals we had the characters posed for pictures with us. Dale stole my 20 year old brothers hat and had him chasing him all over the restaurant to retrieve it after Dale had hidden it near our table. That's what you get for calling him Chip. The food was good too and our server was really on top of things.

OK I'll be the negative on this one. We HATED the breakfast the last time we went. We waited 60 minutes past our ADR time for a table. When they finally sat us we were right next to the bus-door. But we stayed there. Then our waitress came over to ask what we wanted to drink- then that was the only time we saw her. She never came back with the drinks- we had to flag somebody else down to get our drinks. The food at the buffet was horrible- couldn't even eat it. Cold eggs- potatoes cold, undercooked bacon. Oh and our waitress never came back ever... we even had to get someone else to get our check. Oh and Mickey never came around(we were there for an hour and a half) We got to see Pluto, chip and goofy- that's it. And the interaction with our table was minimal(we have 4 children so you would think they might get into it... but nope- just a signature in the book and a photo and off to the next table.
And don't get me started on that napkin waving song. Stuff was flying all over the place- just gross.
So to me NOT WORTH IT!(the first time we went it was OK so we tried it again thinking maybe they were having an off morning that first time- then we realized no that was their best) :sad2:

It sounds like you're asking about Cinderella's Royal Table (CRT) as it's in the MK and is hard to get reservations for. Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary and isn't hard to get reservations for...as far as I know. My 1st visit to the World isn't until the end of the year so I can't really give an opinion....except to say that I refused to consider CRT because no breakfast or character is worth that price.

Actually it IS hard to get Chef Mickey's if you wait too long. No, you do not have to call 180 days out first thing in the morning like CRT, but you do have to reserve ahead, and the prime times get sold out a couple of months before the date.

We've only done CM for dinner, but we loved it and are going back in July. The characters are really fun and silly here, or at least they were on our visit. DH liked the food here better than CP, but again, that was for dinner.
