Chef Mickey's might be expanding

Take it for what it's worth but I was speaking with a Cast Member and she told me because a lot of people who complain about being turned away from Chef Mickey's they are expanding it. Now for all I know that information could be 100% false so I am just saying what I heard.

It would make sense, it is a hard one to get! Let's hope it is true!!!

I thought that I read somewhere that Chef Mickey's would be taking over where they just closed the Concourse Steakhouse...?

LOL, I am guessing it is expanding considering the whole area between chef mickeys and concourse steakhouse is partitioned off. Also, the outer rim bar is gone.

Rumor is outer rim, may or may not be there in a smaller form, ugh.

Chef mickeys isn't worth enlarging unless they make the food edible and the service worthy of a visit. Stay away from chef mickeys until the quality comes back.

I didn't have a problem with the service but I would say that the food wasn't all that.

That would be great they could used the extra room.

They may have meant "expanding service" as they are indeed beginning to serve lunch in Sept. (the CM's were perplexed as to why Disney chose them to serve lunch when all of the surrounding area is under heavy construction right now )

My DH and I were just there last week and the area of the Concourse Steakhouse has been completely gutted. I mentioned to my DH that they should and could expand CM, but it didn't look like they were doing that at that time. From the monorail station it looks like it is a big area but once they get the counter service area in and then the tables, there may not be much room left for a CM expansion.

We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

From what I remember from the original plans, part of the Concourse Steakhouse area was to go to Chef Mickey's the rest to the new CS location. Its probably somewhere on AllEars back when the original announcement was made.
