Booked Chef Mickey's lunch in August during free dining. Anyone have any idea what is on the menu? Is it the same as the dinner menu?

Thank you in advance!

When did they start serving lunch? I was under the impression that they only had breakfast and dinner?

We did lunch at chef mickey the second year of free dining (and I believe the first year they offered lunch)
First, I don't know if it has changed, but NO ONE knew about lunch! The only part of the restaurant they even had open was the little section in the back by the bathrooms, that was it, and it was not even full.
Honestly I don't even remember much about the food, it was good. But, the place was EMPTY (I think we counted at one point there was less than 8 tables at the place with people in it). The characters were amazing, it was one of most favorite disney moments.
We spent about 2 hours eating, and probably 1 hour 45 minutes playing with the characters. Pluto, sat on the floor with my 3 kids, and my friends 2 kids and played peek a boo with a napkin for at least 25 minutes (at least). My youngest was a little scared of pluto, and I kid you not, pluto played with her until she quit being scared. Now, pluto is her favorite.
Chip, dale and mickey tied minnies apron up to one of the chairs, and then made me untie it. They made train tracks with all the sugar packets for my friends sons train. At one point goofy just leaned up against the wall that is near the buffet and stood there for about 15 mintues.
This lunch was probably one of our single most amazing disney moments we have ever had. The character interaction was amazing, and well, the food, like I said was well, food. I really don't remember being disapointed in the food!
So, if you can book this lunch, jump on it. Don't know if word has gotten out about the lunch, but when we went no one knew (they also extended breakfast at the poly really late the year we were there too, and we had an late late breakfast, that was also empty and the characters were super fun there too)

Do you by any chance remember what time your lunch reservation was for?? Or does anyone know when they would switch over from breakfast to lunch?? We were thinking about doing the last breakfast seating, but if they are doing lunch, maybe we will try that.

I had the same question as DisneyNic. We were going to do a late breakfast and count it as lunch because I didn't know they did a lunch.... Do they close the restaurant in between or just switch out the food??? What time does lunch start???

They offered me an 11:30 lunch, but I refused it and scheduled it for 1:30 instead.

We went last year. It was supposed to be a BBQ style. Only it wasn't really. The only BBQy tings I remember were the ribs and baked beans. Neither of which I tried. Other than that I think they mostly had the lesser expensive things off the dinner menu. As in no prime rib. To be honest I just thought it was OK. The selection seemed reather limited. But don't get me wrong the characters were great - and really isn't that why we GO to these things?

They open it for lunch durning free dinning. And lunch is just like dinner.:worship:

That sounds great! It really sounds like you had a fun time. I love when the characters do funny stuff like that. I hope we have as great an experience as you did.
It seems that there are no dinners available but plenty of lunch times which is a good thing. Like i said before if you take the later lunch you will have time to do more stuff towards the evening and not be stuck into a dinner reservation for one day. We will have EMH so our first day we wont be stuck going to the parks early, we will go to CM, relax by the pool, and then hit up the parks for the first time later on.
