Chef Mickey's late reservation, how do i get back to my resort?

hi, i just thought of something, I have a reservation for chef mickeys at 8 on a day where all the park close pretty early, 9 i think its the latest (epcot), how do i get back to Sports after our dinner is over?

Take a taxi or a bus to DTD, then a bus back to your resort. The DTD buses always run very late.

Hop bus to DTD and then to your resort. Best and cheapest way.

Depending on when you get finished, you could just walk over to the buses at MK (10 mins at the most) and take your resort bus from there. Just because the parks close at 9 doesn't mean that the buses stop running at that time. They usually run for a while afterward (1hr?)to get everybody home. You could find out when the last MK buses leave and then plan accordingly.

If walking is not an option, you could take the monorail to MK, that will be significantly longer though, the MK is the last stop from the CR where you will be.

Depending on when you get done with dinner you could hop the monorail to Epcot (if it is before 10pm) and you can then catch a bus to your resort.

You may want to look at why the MK is closing early- if there is a party that night than the buses will run until after the party and you won't need a ticket to get a bus back to the resort.

I think a taxi for about $15-20 would be your best bet but if you didn't want to spend that. If it is too late you would have to take the bus to DTD and then get a bus to your resort.
But I think I've read (haven't experience it though) that the buses run 2 hours after the park closes, so you might still be able to take the monorail to MK and get the bus from there. & I wouldn't think dinner would be more than an hour, so you'd be done by 9pm or so and it would probably be fine going to MK and still catching the bus.

I just looked at the park hours from when you are going (because I will be there a few days before you). The park is only closing at 7pm on 2 days, the Thursday & Friday. Its because MVMCP is going on, so if it is those days, there will be buses at MK because MK is still open until at least midnight or longer.

Personally I wouldn't use Downtown Disney as a transfer point to get on a bus back to your resort, because in my experience the buses from Magic Kingdom Resorts to there always take forever and are the worst. So I would either walk to the Magic Kingdom bus station and get on the All Star Sports bus from there or get a taxi from the Contemporary.

YES! there is MVMCP going on! So I can catch the monorail to MK then bus to Sports. Thanks so much for bringing that up! That bulb never clicked in my head, lol!!!
