I have an ADR for March 8th at Chef Mickey's, but the earliest we could get was 8:50pm. Anyone know how the food is then? I'm concerned because it is a buffet and usually the later it gets the worse the food gets, is that the case here, too? If it is, can anyone recommend a good TS Character meal for dinner (or lunch) (Mickey, Minne types of characters) that is accessible from MK? We're already going to 1900 Park Fare another time in the trip, and I don't think DBF will be into Crystal Palace.

Two years ago, my wife and I planned I trip for a week with the DDP. We had all of the ADR's that we wanted at convenient times. Then, 3 weeks before we left, my parents decided they wanted to join us. Long story short or party of two changed to a party of 8. When this happened we wound up with a nine o'clock seating at Chef Mickey's. We almost didn't even go. It turned out to be the best meal we had on our trip. The food was still hot and fresh; nothing seemed old. Plus, it was a little bit calmer than it usually is. That was great for us because the youngest person in our group at that time was 20. So to answer your question, yes, it is still worth it to eat there at 8:50.

Last Dec the only Chef Mickey's ressie we could get was for 8:30. I was so disappointed. I was prepared to cancel right up until we arrived. I was so worried ds (9) wouldn't make it. Well, we kept the ressie, had a great time. The food was fresh, but the way the buffet works is that the left side and right side of the buffet pretty much have the same food repeated. They consolidated that. Otherwise you couldn't tell it was the end of the evening. Also, you weren't rubbing elbows with others when you walked up to the buffet! (We did have a nice snack around 5pm!)

Last April, we had a 9 p.m. reservation at Concourse Steakhouse (which used to be right next to Chef Mickey's). It was still going strong while we were there! We have an 8 p.m. ADR at CM's for this year. I'm excited, and I haven't told my 8 y.o. that we're going!
