We've eaten dinner there several times, and enjoyed it a lot. Even my picky-ish mom who was skeptical about eating there admitted she liked it. Neither the kids nor adults had trouble finding things they liked. Some of our DS's and DD's best character pics were taken here.

The only reason we're not going this time is because we're traveling with some older, childless-by-choice relatives who might not relish $30 for such "commotion". We are going to have breakfast there for the first time this trip, though!!

we've been twice for dinner- very picky eaters my dh & I and we normally hate buffets- we've enjoyed the food here. DD8 is very picky but this is her absolute fav restaurant. Pricey, of course but the character interaction is great too.

We enjoyed it. I loved the prim rib. Deserts are yummy. and The character interaction was great! I would do it again

We tried this for the first time recently and really liked it. The prime rib was very good and I loved the mashed potatoes :lovestruc The only thing I tried and didn't care for was the mickey shaped ravioli. My DH who usually doesn't like buffets liked it. And the characters were great! They all came by at least twice and my DD12 and DD8 were able to get autographs and lots of pictures. I would do this again :earsboy:

Well, I'll be the first to chime in on the other side. We've tried Chef Mickey's numerous times for breakfast AND dinner - and we've always left disappointed, although we do find breakfast better than dinner.

Let me throw out some adjectives -

cold
bland
picked over
messy
chaotic
rushed

It's a fun atmosphere with the monorial going through and everything, but we finally agreed to give it up for good on our last visit. There are lots of character meals with much better food and less migraine-inducing atmosphere, in our opinion.

Chef Mickey's is noisy and hectic, but I have always found the food good. I most recently had breakfast there, and did not find the hot food cold. Found the selection large and the food tasty. If it is for the character experience, then CM's is good, if it is for the dining experience, there are so many more choices, like Concourse steakhouse right next door.

We've done CM's for dinner a few times now, and we really like it. It's a BUFFET, so we go with buffet food expectations. I've never been to a buffet that had awesome gourmet food. The food is good. It's hot. It's plentiful. The character interaction is great! CM's atmosphere is very "Disney" and it's just alot of fun!

Lots of options, none of which are good! Extremely tasteless food. This is at dinner.

We were there in early May - - loved it.

Going back again twice in late January 2006 & twice in May 2006!

Had our only "civilized" dinners here. Characters kept our little ones entertained - while we actually enjoyed a bottle of wine with our prime rib. Food was good - service was nice - and our kids enjoyed themselves both times we were there. DH is not a huge mouse fan...but he would do Chef Mickeys for dinner again.

Now it is a buffet, but my husband who travels A LOT with work and has been to great rests in NYC, New OR, DC, Philly, Atlanta, etc. thinks its pretty good. The Salmon was very good, well prepared and not cold. The salad bar had nice variety, vegetables cooked right. Kids did like the chix strips. Service was good. I mean its not Ruth Chris or whatever, but its also not Country Buffet. I feel the food was on par with an Outback steakhouse, or maybe step above...like you favorite local mid priced rest. We're going back. Also, you get the characters and the baby loved Donald!
