We are going to Chef Mickeys for dinner ..reservation 8pm

Would you ride the Monorail to the restaurant?

This is a new restaurant for us and we will be taking Newbies.

This is our first night and we will not be int he parks this day.

If we want to take the monorail where do we park and what woudl we see on the monorial?

Would we ge to see the castle?

THANKS

You can park in the Transportation and Ticket Center TTC...You then can get on the monorail from there to take you to the Contemporary...You can see the castle off in the distance....

Another idea is parking right at the Contemporary...You get a parking pass for 3 hours when you have a dining reservation...So you go directly there...You can then take the monorail to the Poly for a great view of late fireworks (if they have them that night) and you can see the MK from there.

Chef Mickey's is the best restaraunt in Disney IMO! Don't forget to eat some mashed potatoes, they are amazing!!

I AGREE!! It is our favorite place to eat and the best mashed potatoes in the world! YUMMY!! I am SO ready for Chef Mickeys!

The last time we were at the world was our first Family vacation there, and even though we were there for 10 days, we did not stop to smell the roses. I love your idea of fireworks at the Poly. Exactly where at the Poly do you go to see them?
Thanks so much.

CM is the best. We eat there every trip twice. Once for Thanksgiving dinner and once for a very late breakfast on the day we leave. Our first trip to Disney was 11 years ago for DD's 3rd b-day. Our first stop on our first day was CM. When we got on the monerail to head to MK, our DD said "thank you mommy, thank you daddy for taking me to Disney World!" We then told her that wasn't Disney, just breakfast, she was shocked that there was actually more to come, CM's was that amazing!!!!!

With an 8pm reservation...make sure you time out Wishes for the night. I am almost sure that the monorail does not run during Wishes, so you'll want to make sure that you're past the MK long before Wishes is slotted to start for the evening.

we also do this alot.

we check out the time of wishes on the night that we want to eat at chef mickey's. we try to time it so that we are finished eating at least 20 or 30 min prior to the start of the fireworks. we take the monorail over to the poly.

the BEST area to watch the fireworks there is out on the beach. behind the main house, the waterfall in the lobby runs into a stream that leads outside near the pool area. behind the pool is the beach area, with hammocks and chairs. there are speakers there that pipe in the music for wishes.

very nice.

If you're not done in time to take the ride over there. there is an area near the waiting area for chef mickeys that you can see the top of the castle, and the fireworks. they also play the music in there as well.

Enjoy and have fun when you go!!!! :wizard:

I really appreciate all the wonderful information. I think I have my CM for 6:30 and wishes is at 10pm. If we stretch out dinner and then ride the monorail a little, I think it will work out nicely! Thanks again!!
