Chef Mickeys Food or Characters ?

I didn't think of this before I saw the other Chef Mickey post. We are more interested in the food than the characters as we are adults with no small children. Are we going (trying to get reservations) to the wrong restaurant for us? I never thought that people were going just for the characters. Is this true? Is the food any good?

My son LOVES the pizza.
And the characters...
That's why we go. Again and again..
I could do without the food. Really...
I eat the salad, some cheese, and the salmon.
My husband finds quite a bit to eat, so I don't complain.
It makes them happy

If I was going on an adults only trip I would never pick Chef Mickeys.
It's filled with kids and it's loud. Also, the characters will come to your table, wheather or not you have kids (just don't know if that's really what you're looking for).
There are sooo many other restaurants you could go to, that, IMHO, would be better than CM's for a party of all adults.
The Boarkwalk has the Flying Fish and Spoodles. I really like the FF, can't remember too much about Spoodles. There may also be other restaurants on the Boardwalk, but can't remember.
Also, in the Contemporary, is California Grill. Which would be another good place for adults.
Thease are just a few suggestions. I'm sure you'll find many other good ideas on this Restaurant board.
That being said, I will be at CM's in 16 days with DD, son in law and 3 little DGS

I went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast last year on an adult trip and the food was OK. Most of the food seemed similar to the food served in the cs restaurants and the highlight of the restaurant is the character interaction. That being said, I probably won't go back unless it is with kids (or adults) who want to interact with the characters.
