Chef Mickey's (Donald)

My son is a HUGE fan of donald duck so we were planning on a character meal with him at AK. After reading all the bad reviews I have been having second thoughts. I thought I read somewhere that Donald is at Chef Mickey's for lunch. Does anyone know if this is true? I have read in the unofficial guide he is there occasionally. If I call ahead can they tell me when he will be making an appearance? We been there for breakfast and he wasn't there. It was Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale.

I thought Donald's Breakfastosaurus was pretty good. We enjoyed both last year and 2 weeks ago. However to answer your question I haven't seen Donald at Chef Mickey's. Just Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

Donald was at Chef Mickey's for dinner last week. we've never seen him at breakfast at Chef Mickey's. He is also in MGM Studios in one of the silver trailers across from Who Wants To be A Millionaire

I might be mistaken but I think Chef Mickey's does characters for breakfast and dinner only.

We also just saw Donald at Chef Mickeys for dinner last week. He stays in the front and does not go around the tables. Also got to see him in toontown for the character meet and greet

Chef Mickey's is characters for just breakfast and dinner.

FWIW, Donald was at dinner last month...he was in the lobby; he didn't come around to tables. I don't think they will guarantee anything, even if you call ahead.

We loved Donald's Breakfastosaurus! We had a blast and the kids got to spend more time with the characters than at Chef Mickey's. The food was good too; a big selection.

At Chef Mickey's they told us Donald wouldn't come around to the tables but, that we could take a picture with him in the "lobby" area. Well, we were lucky because he DID come to the table and he played around with the kids.

Donald came to our table at CM in July. He came for the celebration song for DS's birthday and took pictures with just our group and left to go back out front to line for people waiting to take pictures with him. It's was dinner.

Kitts 21- I am the BIGGEST DONALD DUCK FAN EVER- Next to your son of course and I can attest to Donald Duck being at chef mickeys for dinner and will be going there myself this month just for him because I have tried Donalds breakfast three times in AK and it just was BAD. Go to Chef Mickeys and give it a try for dinner and most of all the atmosphere cant be beat

Not sure if this helps, but we've got three very serious Donald Duck fans in our group (see my .sig!) but we aren't too sure about doing more character meals than 'necessary' during our stay.

We booked Chef Mickey's for the first morning of our trip before our extended group arrives, and then Donald's breakfast later in the stay. We had other reasons to book CM's, but one advantage is that this way, if Donald is at CM's, we don't "have" to do the Donald breakfast; if Donald isn't at CM's or if the grandparents *want* a character breakfast, they can do Donald's.

We've eaten dinner at CM's about 5 times and Donald was there every time. he wasn't there for breakfast

Still go to Donalds if he is a big fan. Give it a chance. People have bad reviews on Chef Mickeys too! Donald is not at Chef Mickeys! Good luck!

Just to clarify a bit further, not only are there no characters at Chef Mickey's for lunch, there's also no lunch! CM's only serves breakfast and dinner.
