Chef Mickeys Dinner

Are there characters at Chef Mickeys for dinner...or only breakfast?

There are characters at both breakfast and dinner. They are the same characters for both.

We always go for dinner and the character interaction has been the best. Usually it has been Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale going around to the tables and Goofy and Donald holding court in the lobby. My DD6 loves it here. We usually do this our first night in WDW.

We had a poor dinner in the past, but in January it was great. Wonderful character interaction. Great staff. Excellent food. We had an early evening dinner, about 5:00.

We've had dinner at Chef Mickey's 4 times and all were great. We've skipped it the last couple of trips due to time constraints and wanting to try new places too but will definitely go there next trip because we miss it.

We were trying to decide between the character dinner at Chef Mickey's and the one at the Grand Floridian for our next trip. We haven't been to either. Have any of you been to both? Which one would you choose?

We have been to both. The food is better at the Grand Floridian character dinner. We like Chef Mickey's now for breakfast only. We had more time with the characters as well at 1900 PF. I guess the big question is which characters are you hoping to see as they are different at these two locations?

I was up in the air about the characters. It will be my daughter's 22nd birthday - but I didn't really want to ask her - I wanted it to be a surprise. It is also her first day ever at WDW! We will also be travelling with my 16 year old son, my husband, son-in-law and their 18 month old baby. I guess I am looking for the most character interaction, the best food and possibly which character might present her cake??

If your daughter is 22, she will probably prefer 1900 PF. I think it is more adult oriented and less chaotic. Chef Mickey's can get crazy with that napkin swinging party every 45 minutes and little ones trying to chase down the characters. Either one is great fun. The food at 1900 PF is better quality for dinner. Just my two cents...
