Trying to limit character meals this trip (1) hoping to get a lot of character attention in the parks and (2) would like to curb spending since we splurged on MNSSHP tickets. I couldn't get into Cindy's b'fast (90 day change, I'm still mad), was considering dinner at Chef Mickey's after a day at Magic Kingdom. Me, g'ma, daughter (4) and nephew (11).

What is your opinion of this meal?

I definitely recommend Chef Mickey's. We have eaten there several times for breakfast and twice for supper. At suppertime there is a very nice buffet (not gourmet but certainly good) and the characters (I think it was Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale) all come to your table (and Goofy is in the waiting area). The atmoshere is very fun and festive, and it is so convenient to get to from the MK. Enjoy!

Yes, we've had both dinner & b/fast there. My dd really loved it! There is alot of food, even for my picky dh who only eats fish.

The characters all came around several times to our table.

BTW, you will not have any problems finding characters in the park. I think we "bumped" into Mickey at least 10 times!! Check w/ a CM for exact timing. There is a huge bus that drives around epcot with at least 10. We also saw lots at Animal Kingdom.

We prefer the food at 1900 Park at the Grand Floridian. Chef Mickey's is okay, but we feel better food at 1900 Park.

Just make that Chef Mickey's PS early....120 days out, because it's getting to be one of the hardest places to get into (early seating), other than that be prepared to be eating after 8:30 PM. We always do CM when our grandson is with us. But seldom ever do this one without kids.

We really like Chef Mickeys for either breakfast or dinner. As mentioned in an earliar post the food is by no manner of means gourmet but it has always been hot and plentiful when we have been there. Plus the character interaction is superb.

LOL... well it seems to a love it or hate it kind of place, and we hated it. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give the food a 1. It was uneatable. We ended up eating salad and dessert. Everything else was cold, over cooked and tasteless. The place is extremely noisy, and worst of all the service is non existent. We saw our server 2X, when he took our drink order and when he brought the bill. Good thing we didn't eat much, because we wouldn't have had anywhere to put the used plates. The 4 of us were crammed onto a tiny table. We refuse to return. I actually asked last yr before our trip for someone to convince us to return. We had 15-20 responses saying not to return, and about 2 telling us to give it another try.

Since you wanted Cindy's Why don't you try the Cinderella's Gala Feast at 1900 PF? I haven't been there since it changed to Cindy, but the food there is wonderful. Probably the best buffet I've had anywhere other than Boma. I think I ate my weight in Salmon, strawberry soup and monkey break.
