Hi all. A friend of mine is going to WDW with her 5 year old son and husband in January. She has dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill and Crystal Palace. She just texted me and told me that these places are NOT accepting the basic dining plan for 2012, that they were only accepting deluxe dining plan. I told her that did not sound right and checked the website for her. Sure enough, the website DOES indicate that these restaurants are not accepting basic dining plan, only deluxe. Is that correct???? I thought she may have been mistaking quick service dining plan for basic but she was not.

Anyone???

I just looked at the 2012 Dining Plan file on the WDW website and all three of those are listed as regular Dining Plan choices. We are planning to go to CP when we go in May and are planning to use dining points. She should be fine.

yeah, I think it's a temporary glitch on the reservation system (they seem to have one of those about every week...issue changes, but it's always something.) I know we booked Crystal Palace for February about a month ago and there was no mention of it being 2 credits per person...I would assume if they increased the credit requirements they'd put a notice on the restaurants that went double in price.

I see where the reservation system now says no on regular dining plan for Crystal Palace (I tried a date in Feb. 2012) BUT when you go to the pdf of the actual 2012 Dining Plan brochure, all of the character meals are still listed as one credit (with the exception of Cinderella's castle meals, of course...castle meals have been 2 credits for quite some time now.)

I called this morning just to make sure- but yes, just a glitch. I booked all of my ADR's a few weeks ago, and it was showing that they did accept in 2012, but this morning I tried to change one, and it wasn't- so I called. CM said it IS just a glitch, and those are all still on for 2012!!!
