I think we had an 11:15 (? - it was definitely 11 or after) ressie in 2007. It worked out great, the place started emptying out and we saw all the characters no problem. We hope to do this again, it works out well to hit the MK for opening, do some rides with no/little waits and then hop the monorail for "brunch" at CM's!
I've read the later your ADR, the more time you get with the characters as the restaurant starts to empty. We had an early ADR at Chef Mickeys and the characters seemed a bit rushed. We might think about a later ADR for our next trip.
According to the info here on the DIS, they serve breakfast until 11:30. I've been debating the best time for our breakfast at Chef Mickey's, too. I'm wavering between a 7am ADR before regular MK opening at 9 (which would be early in our weeklong trip) or a late seating (about 11am) after morning EMHs at MK later in the week. It would be great to have fewer people to share the characters with but how is the food when you go later? How long do they keep putting out fresh stuff? I'm just a little worried that if we have a later seating that the food won't be as fresh or as plentiful. It would be a bummer to pay that much for breakfast and feel like we got the leftovers. KWIM?
