Trying not to go overboard here and break the bank. ;) On the agenda is O'hana breakfast, Princess Storybook breakfast, and chef Mickey for dinner. I am wondering if the atmosphere is different during breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's. If not, I am thinking of switching to save a few $$$$$

Sorry, I've only done CM's for dinner, but I gotta say, it was a blast. Two adults with no kids, and we had as much fun as anybody. We're doing it again this Oct.

We always do Chef Mickey's for dinner ~ and it's awesome!!!! Our DS LOVES it. We always have a blast, and the food is actually very good!!!! We've actually never done b-fast there, so can't comment. On our last trip though, we did do Ohana, and well, we won't be doing it again!!! I know a lot of people love it, but our experience was BAD!!!! The food was so greasy it was pretty much inedible, the service was horrific, I actually had to get up and go ask someone for something to drink!!! The characters were great, chip was a little "friendly".................. :rolleyes1 but, the entire experience was just not good. It was in Feb. so it wasn't a crowd issue either.......... Good Luck

Well, it is a buffet, so it's all you can eat, plus it has the characters, and the interaction is well worth it, imo!!!

For breakfast the cost is $18.99/10.99
Dinner Buffet the cost is $27.99/12.99

We do this meal on every trip, our DS LOVES it!!!! We think it is worth the price, and some of the photo's we've gotten with the characters are priceless!!!!

I'd stick with the dinner. The buffet is great. Given the choice between breakfast or dinner there, my kids always pick dinner.(I'll admit to being a fan of the sundaes myself)

I think it would be a super choice, it is a must do on every trip for us. You get Mickey, Minnie, Daisy (sometimes), Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale, plus it really is fun, the kids really get "into" it......... I won't say what, as to not ruin it, but it's fun! You will enjoy it. Last year, we actually sat right next to the kitchen door, I was thinking........ Oh NO, this is gonna be bad......... BUT, it was FANTASTIC, as all the characters went in and out, they stopped at our table and fussed over DS.......... plus they of course had their "time" with him.......... it was GREAT, I actually hope we get that table again!!!! ;)

I haven't tried CM for breakfast but our dinner there was alot of fun :Pinkbounc The food was good too. I especially liked the prime rib and mashed potatoes. :cool1:

we vote for dinner too! My picky dd8 loves Chef Mickey's . Dh likes the prime rib and I like the turkey- the parmesean mashed potatoes are awesome!

Breakfast is a meal we like to cut back on- muffins, fruit or cereal can be satisfying in the room- but the character interaction at CM is great-and the food very good- well worth it!

See now I vote for bfast to save some $$. The food was good at dinner but we liked bfast better. Its a bit brighter in there (being daytime and all) and the atmosphere was the same. We just have more fun at bfast :)

Our last trip to WDW we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast and the trip before that we did the dinner. Breakfast was a more quiet time to go than dinner, but the food selection was better at dinner. My children seemed to like the dinner better, because of the food choices. Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves. :earsgirl:

I got a kiss from Minnie, she's quite a little tart. We're going to do CM's our first night, kinda get us in the spirit, not that we need any help, but I thought it would really start our stay off right.

We've dome CM for dinner and breakfast, and we like the dinner better. The food there has always been wonderful, the character interation is great, and the dinner has the all important desssert buffet! :goodvibes Breakfast is the typical breakfast stuff, no dessert (can you tell I like desserts on vacation?)

We also do the CM dinner on our first night, which is a day we normally don't go into the parks. It puts us in the mood for the rest of the vacation. Plus we get to see Mickey right off the bat.

I would be willing to try CM for breakfast; we had dinner there, and won't go back !

We went for dinner and it was fun. The food was average. not bad but nothing to wave about. We had much better food at Boma's.
But the atomosphere was great. My DS enjoyed the napkin waving very much!

We had dinner there on Christmas and enjoyed it immensely. Thought the food was very good for buffet food.

I would have to say that the two aren't even comparable!!! Boma is on a much higher scale of restaurant, therefore, I'd expect the food to be better!!! Chef Mickey's is a KID place, it's fun, the atmosphere is fun, the food is good, it's not FANTASTIC, but not horrible. Again, I'd never compare the two!!!

You'll have fun ~ your kids will love it............ I'd say try it at least once and decide, but don't go into it expecting something like Boma......... cause you won't get it!!!! Good Luck!!

I agree boma is not on the same level at all. I was basically just stating how we felt.
As i said, we loved the atmosphere and my DS had a great time with the characters and waving the napkins. I just thought I would mention Boma in case anybody is interested in better food. We went there mainly for the fun and characters. We would definitely go back again. We still thought the food was just average for buffet food and that is IMOP. ;)
