If we were to go to MK on a NON-EMH morning....but go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast when they open at 7AM...would we be okay to make rope drop for a 9AM park opening at MK?

Okay, then there is the transportation issue. We have a few options...

1. We are DVC members so we get free valet parking at DVC resorts...so technically we could park at BLT for the day since we would be using valet. I know that you cannot park at the resorts in order to go to a park, but I have also read here that it is perfectly acceptable to do this if you are using valet parking and not self-parking.

2. We could park at the TTC initially and just leave the car there, and take the resort monorail to Contemporary from the TTC. But would the monorail be running so early in the morning from the TTC?

3. We could self-park at Contemporary for the breakfast and then drive to the TTC when we are done to park the car and take the monorail to MK before rope drop. But would we make it in time?

Which of the above 3 would you do if you were me? Which is easiest?

You'll have plenty of time to make rope drop in my opinion w/ a 7 bfast. We did at 7:30 at CM and still made rope drop on our last trip.
Any of your options soudn fine to me as for how to get there. Or u coudl always just take a cab.

We did it back in Aug . We did a 7:00 am breakfast and made it in time for the preview show before the Kingdom opened. It opened at 9:00 am that day.

Thank you! Now I know we would make rope drop and not be so rushed!

If we decide to initially park at the TTC would the resort monorail be running so early in the morning (6:30 or so)? Or just do the valet thing then hop on the monorail to the park after breakfast?

It's not a problem at all! We did it in October 2008. We had a 7:30 reservation, but were seated a bit early. We finished and walked over to the MK. We went right in, and straight to Fantasyland. I had completely forgotten that it was a Little Ones EMH that morning, and we were able to take advantage of Fantasyland for close to 20 minutes before the rest of the park opened at nine.

I forgot you could walk over to MK from Contemporary! That will be nice after a big breakfast!
