Anyone ever have success getting a table for Chef Mickeys breakfast without a reservation?

The only way I could see that happening is if they had a party that no-showed on the day/time you happened to stop by and ask. You never know though, some people eat faster or slower than others and it could happen. It's pretty unlikely that walk-up availability would happen there.

I will say that one time, my teenagers and I went to MK for rope drop and we were just going to get something at Starbucks - we stopped into Crystal Palace to see if they had room for us and they did! I was shocked, so always ask if you're in the area.

I wouldn't count on it since character meals are very popular and usually fully booked. You can keep checking online to see if a cancellation comes up. You can keep checking even while you're at DW since people will cancel up to the day before to avoid the no show penalty. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for the month you will be going, but be sure to read the rules in the first post:

Walking up would be a last resort unless you're staying at the CR because it will take time to get to the restaurant without knowing whether you'll be seated. If you have young children this could a be disappointment if they get all the way there and then find out they won't be able to meet the characters. If you want to try walking up, most suggest getting there at opening.

We have the breakfast buffet booked at the Wave, so i guess it won't be a big deal to try. I know we've had good luck getting walk ups at Crystal Palace and even twice at BoG!! We're doing a last minute trip and I was able to get everything we wanted for our family (even BoG) , with the exception of Chef Mickeys. Regardless, I know the kids will just be thrilled to get an unexpected trip to Disney.

I would try checking for reservations even the night before. If you have an ADR for the Wave and go to Chef Mickeys they will charge you.
