Chef Mickeys at 7am.....Can you help me think this though?

We have a CM reservation for 7am. We plan to spend the day at Magic Kingdom which opens at 9am.

I guess the real question I have is this: It is my understanding that the MK parking lot wouldn't open til 8. Is that right? (No early magic hours that day!)


We want our van parked at MK as we have a special needs child and keep some emergency stuff in the van so it will be close to us. If my thinking is right, we need to drive to the Contemporary and eat. Then, we drive to Magic Kingdom for the day.

If I'm wrong about when the MK parking lot opens, would you let me know? TIA!

Can't help you out but I can bump you up so others will notice your question.

I believe if you valet park at the Contemporary you can leave your vehicle all day and that is actually closer (imo) to MK since you can walk there instead of taking the monorail or the boat.

there is no parking lot at mk.
the ticket and transportation center, near the poly, takes you to the MK, and either take the monorail or the ferry to the mk. you cannot leave your car at the contemporary parking lot for the day.

if you need to take emergency equipment, you are much safer in packing a go bag, because no matter what method of transportation you use, it will take quite a while to reach your van.

I'm sorry, I did mean the TTC parking lot when I referred to the parking for MK.

It is close enough for our back up items. They won't likely be needed, but it will still be easier than going back to POR if we do need them. They aren't life/death type emergency things. We carry a very full pack with us, but not everything is predictable.
