We've never tried either of these places and we're going to both of them for dinner next year. How is the food?

We went to Disney this past Sept/Oct for a week and we ate dinner at both. We did Chef Mickey's on our first night there and I would call the food o.k., but the characters were great, dd (6) had a blast and it was a perfect start to our first Disney trip. We waited a bit to get seated, but not too long and our server was so nice.

1900 Park Faire was a little different. The food was much better, the best food out of all the buffets we tried that trip. The service was not as great and the characters seemed a little rushed, but that being said, we LOVED the step sisters. They came around at the end and they were awesome. I don't have any previous experiences to compare but we liked the dinner there.

We actually plan to go back to both on our next trip, especially since we will not be doing CRT next trip, at least we will be able to see Cinderella.

We had dinner at Chef Mickey's this past Monday and we had lots of fun. The food was pretty good and the character interaction was great also. The characters went around to all the tables, took pics, autographs, danced, played... Lots of fun!!

We did breakfast at CM (11am) and plan to try for dinner on the next trip. Glad you liked the food. I can vouch for the breakfast food if you decide to try then instead for a "different" experience next time.

Our "star" is a 6yo boy so dinner with Cindy is unlikely, but breakfast with the Mad Hatter may suit him better.

We have dinner at both every trip. :woohoo:

Make sure you try the parmesan mashed potatoes at CM! (see my Tag)

Anyone else? I'm having trouble searching for reviews since 1900 PF reopened. We have the option of CM or 1900 for dinner with DD in December and I need to choose. I really wanted 1900 before the rehab. The menu still looks good, but I'm vague on the newer reviews.

I'm usually in the minority on these posts, but I really enjoyed the food at Chef Mickey's Dinner.

We've eaten there over a half-dozen times in the past 2 years....never had anything but a Fantastic time (food included) :thumbsup2

I don't know about 1900 Park Fare since we will be trying it for the first time in May.
CM was lots of fun and the food was good. Not great but not bad.
