Hopefully someone can help me out here. We have Chef Mickey's on our PS list for our upcoming trip and wanted to do dinner since we have always done breakfast. However, I know or DD6 will not eat much if anything and I hate to pay $13 or so for her to sit there and eat a couple bites of macaroni. Do you think they would allow me to bring her something like a PB&J and a juice box (something I know she will eat) instead of eating there? DW and I will definitely make our presence known at the buffet though. Can't wait to get my hands on all you can eat prime rib. Anyway, would this be allowed?

I don't think it will be a problem. You might be charged a $5 entertainment fee for your DD. Some of the character meals charge this fee, when people attend a character meal, but don't eat.

I read somewhere just the other day that it was up to each resturant as to if they would allow a entertainment fee or not. I really bet that once your child sees the buffet, she WILL want something off it. They have a place to decorate your own cupcake that is cool. The buffets at WDW are really very child friendly and have chicken nuggets, pizza, fresh fruit. Our picky DS has always found enough to make the price worth going for the characters. Good luck.

I don't know if we just got lucky or what, but when we went two years ago, my ds was 3. He ate absolutely nothing but one chicken finger and one cookie. Our server commented on how little he was eating. To my surprise, when I got the bill, she hadn't charged us for him. Thank goodness, because it certainly would have been a waste of money!

I'm not certain he'll eat much more this time at 5 y/o, but I will pay for him this time around.;)

Two years ago we had dinner at Chef Mickey's and our DS4 at the time wouldn't eat the usual kid friendly stuff. I always bring a bag of his goodies...PBJ/crackers, ritz bits with cheese. We were not charged for an entertainment fee but we did purchase a drink for him. It was very obvious that he wasn't eating off of our plates. No fuss was made. We go back in 13 days and the same bag goes with us (he's almost 6 now) and it's ready if needed. Good luck!
