Im staying at all star music and have a rental car, can i drive to the contemporary for breakfast and take the monorail over to magic kingdom for the day?

No. You’ll need to either take the MK bus and walk to the Contemporary or drive to the TTC and take the monorail over.

I thought there was a resort monorail that looped through MK, GF, Poly, and Contemporary?

There is, but it would be silly to drive to the CR and then get on the monorail to go to MK. The resort loop monorail goes CR-TTC-Poly-GF-MK.

You're limited to 3 hours parking with a dining reservation, so no, don't plan to leave your car at CR all day. It'll get towed.

If you want semi-silly, get on the resort loop monorail and ride it all the way around for fun. We actually like to do that--no kids but us two kids trapped in adult bodies. 😁

Some say they enjoy drinking around the loop--a stop at each monorail resort's lounge for a drink.

Or, a Christmas decorations tour can be fun, too. Getting off at the MK and onto the boat to WL gives a wide variety of decorative styles, though most agree the WL or GF ones are the best.

We have chef mickey breakfast reservations for our family plus my FIL. He is staying at one of the all stars. Which is the better way to get him to meet us there: bus to MK then walking path to contemporary or mini van?

Hi Shanny,

The "better" way is of course in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I would probably do your MK bus + walk strategy.

However, maybe worth considering Uber/Lyft? Chef Mickey's is only a 15 min/$15-ish Uber trip up World Drive.

Depends greatly on how close your breakfast ADR is to rope drop time at MK.

Trying for a bus from any Value could mean a lengthy wait before park opening.

A Minnie van is likely to be more expensive than Lyft/Uber. If those operate as they did previously, the Lyft app is needed to request one anyway.
