Chef Mickey Reservation

I have reservations for 2 at Chef Mickey's in mid-August. I called to add another person today and was told they didn't have room but to keep trying. What are my chances of success?

This close to your trip...not likely, but anything can happen.

What I would do is make sure that person has somewhere else to eat in the meantime and if something comes thru at CM then great. If not at least he/she is covered for their meal.

I would try the online reservation page several times a day. You're going from a 2 top table to a 4 so you could try for a party of 3 and for 4. People change their plans all the time so keep trying.

If nothing opens up you can check with the concierge at your resort after you arrive. Also, sometimes people have been lucky if they walk up to the restaurant when it first opens. However, you'll have to be prepared for the third person to be turned away so have a contingency plan if you don't have a reservation for 3.

We were a party of 4 last year on all of our ADRs when MIL decided to join us a week before we left! We were not turned away anywhere when she wanted to join us. If you can't change your ADRs before you go it doesn't hurt to try when you get there.

I have been trying since May to get a few reservations at some popular places to add my brother and his GF in, and we have had no luck. I just made them reservations elsewhere.

I called to add a person. They don't just add one. They make a whole new ressie with the new number of people and then cancel the other one. At least that's how the CM on the phone explained it to me. Keep trying. Using the online system is a fast way to keep checking. Good Luck.

I would make another reservation at another resterant for a litle later time then your Chef Mickey reservation. I would then arrive a little early to CM and see if you could get that extra person added there. If not then you have another option where you can all dine together or if you are set on dinning at CM then send that other person to that reservation and then meet up after everyone is done dinning.

Keep trying because I just made one for Aug 12! At first they were booked but I kept trying til I eventually got one.
