Help me make a decision.... who has the better food??
We would be going for lunch @ Crystal Palace or Dinner at Chef Mickey.
I know Chef Mickey is a buffet is CP?
Does anyone have picture from a recent trip.

We had done the Princesses, now want to do something different.
I love Mickey so leaning toward CM, but prefer lunch timeframe.

Any help would be great! :thumbsup2

food at CP. Crystal Palace is a buffet. The difference between lunch and dinner will be a few food items. We generally eat dinner at CP.

Loving Mickey is a big issue though. We eat a late breakfast at CM the day we leave (no parks) mainly to say goodbye to the main Disney characters.

So if you really love Mickey, and care a little for the Pooh characters, I would do dinner at CM.

We usually do both on each trip - and honestly we prefer CP. We've never had dinner at Chef Mickey's though - mostly breakfast. We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner at CP and have always found it tasty and fun. We love Pooh and his friends. My kids like the CP buffet better. And the setting is really nice in terms of being in the park.

we like food at crystal palace better, but character interaction at chef mickeys better.

:cool1: If you love Mickey and have kids Chef Mickey's is the way to go. We have 2 DS 10 and 6 and they absolutely love Chef Mickey's. The character interaction you can't beat it. They put on quite the show. We've done serveral times Breakfast & Dinner. They offer a ton of food. It's good, not out of this world, but good. Loved the ribs at dinner and the kids get such a kick out of the ice cream machine & toppings. I am sure what ever you decide, you will love it. Enjoy!!!

I personally think the food is better at CP but my kids LOVE Chef Mickey's and it the one meal they pick to go to year after year. The food is fine but the characters are great and it is just a fun place. I don't think you will find a whole lot of difference in the food really. We are not buffet people but do it more for the kids and entertainment.

We've had lunch and breakfast at Crystal Palace. I love this restaurant. It's just a beautiful place!! It is a buffet and I remember really enjoying the food here. I did prefer lunch over breakfast. I found the character interaction to be just as good as Chef Mickey's. We ate an early dinner this Oct. for the first time at CM. We really enjoyed the food here also. I like the atmosphere of Crystal Palace a lot more. I don't remember one food being any better than the other. I think you have to decide which characters are more important to you. I also think time can be an issue. Crystal Palace is inside MK, so there is no travel time. It doesn't take that long to get to Chef Mickey's, but it will eat up a little more of your day getting there. So, I just think it will have to be a personal decision. I would eat at either one of these again in a heartbeat. We enjoyed both. Have an awesome time!

CP is good, but CM is great in my opinion!!! We go twice evry trip, one breakfast and one dinner.

We like both, but we have always preferred CP over CM--food and character interaction wise.

Thanks everyone for the advise! I don't know if it help in my decision, maybe we will have to do both!

We like both!

When I told my boys they could each pick 1 place to eat at on our next trip, the oldest picked CP and the youngest picked Chef Mickey's. The middle one picked Boma.

Having been to both, I like Chef Mickey's more. Maybe it's the characters and atmosphere, but the food is okay at both places. Both of them are buffets.

Hi, we did both. The kids dd4&ds3 loved both but talk about CM more. I was suprised about how good the food was at both of them. I will say that the character interaction at CM was great and the room had a very high energy/excitement level. We also loved CP and pooh it was a little more low key. Hope this helps a little.

First Timers here...We did both in September. Both were very busy. Food was of similar quality. IMO, character interaction is what set them apart. CM's the characters just circled the room constantly. CP, they told you when you were seated they come around once every 1-1hr, 15 min. If you are not at your seat they keep going. Though when they did come to our table-they took their time-no rush with the kids at all! So both are good.

We've done both and I would definitely pick CM's over CP. The character interaction is just better IMO and more frequent at CM's where at CP we always find ourselves having to sit and wait a long time before we've seen all the characters. Food seems to be about the same at both places...its buffet food.

Crystal Palace. We have been to both several times. In August we went to both within a few days of each other, and I decided we are finished with Chef Mickey's. The prices are higher, the atmosphere is more chaotic, and the food is not as good. We will stick to Crystal Palace in the future. :)
