Chef Mickey from POR

I have a 7.40am ressie for Chef Mickey (it was all i could get) Will i have to get a cab or can i use disney transportation? What time would i need to leave and whats the quickest route, anybody done this ,how long did it take? Many thanks

Take the MK bus. I would be out there by 7. Tell the driver you are going to Chef Mickey's and if you are the only ones on the bus, he/she may or may not drop you at CR. If not, it is a very short walk.

Personally, I would walk to the main bus stop at POR to catch the MK bus that morning.....

If I had a 7:45 ADR at CM's, I would be out at the MK bus stop by 6:45. Those buses run less often then the usual buses, so if you just miss one, you could have a 20+ min wait for the next one. You may get lucky and get a driver who will drop you at the CR before going to MK, but more often than not, they will just take you to MK. That's what I always plan on.
The walk from MK to CR is less than 10 mins...the sidewalk is easy to find...just head to the park entrance, and turn to the right, with the monorail overhead, buses to the right, MK to the left. Follow the sidewlk to CR and go up to CM's.
Yes, you may arrive at the CR early, but better early than late. I always leave an hour from point A to point B that early in the morning...especially when taking the bus to MK and then heading to the CR.

It's no more than a 10 minute cab ride, approx $10-$12 fare.
The walk alone from the MK bus stop is .6 of a mile and will probably take at least that long. Not to mention walking to the nearest bus stop at POR and then waiting perhaps 20 minutes for a bus, and maybe other stops at POR before leaving the resort, I don't know if there might be other stops before arriving at MK.

You can call Bell services and have a cab pick you up right outside your room location, no walking or sitting in the dark.

IMHO it's a no brainer.

I have found the walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary takes about 10 minutes, however coming from their bus station I would say it might take about 8 minutes because you would be closer to the Contemporary.
