We will be there for very BUSY spring break week. Going to CM to celebrate my son's birthday. Can't decide to go at 11:20 for breakfast or 7:50 for dinner.... ANy suggestions...I know they arent great ADR times, but which one do you think would be better. My kids are 4 and 6....

As soon as I decide, I will be canceling one....

Thanks for any input.

I actually think your breakfast time is great! I'd do that one. RD MK few rides get some FPS and then head out about 11. Walk to CR and be there in time for your ADR. Take a break afterwards and head back that afternoon!

Dinner is too late with young kids to enjoy. Especially if they are running behind!

I second the breakfast time! We have done a late breakfast at CM and it was wonderful. We had lots of character interaction, the place was not super crazy, and they really kept the food hot and fresh the whole time! That dinner time is really late.

We recently tried the dinner for the 1st time after doing breakfast for years. I would go for the breakfast on my next trip. The dinner is unimpressive to say the least

Definitely breakfast. Dinner is not very good. We just returned last week from a trip and had a late ressie for breakfast. We were not rushed at all and had tons of character interaction with plenty of fresh food.

We had dinner here last year and it was very rushed, the characters posed very briefly for pictures and that was it. I would do the late breakfast.

Go for brunch at 11:20 (as long as you don't mind giving up the time in the parks). The place is slower, you're basically getting 2 meals for the price of one (what's better than BRUNCH!!), and you'll probably get more time with the characters.

I've done late (7:30 PM+) seatings at Chef Mickeys. Largely, it's not pretty. There are a lot of overheated, over tired, cranky people (kids AND adults, mind you) populating the restaurant. Besides....the food is better at breakfast anyway.

I think the 11:20 time is the better choice as well. It's practically lunch, so I would treat it as that. Have a small something for breakfast - early - hit MK and ride what you can that am before heading to Chef Mickeys.
I actually prefer dinner at Chef Mickeys over breakfast, but there is no way my kids could eat dinner at 7:50 after a long hot day at the parks. Think it's asking for trouble :)
Have fun!

Another vote for the breakfast. Definitely go to the parks first thing and get in some rides then off to eat breakfast with Mickey, the kids will LOVE it. Also you don't have to worry about transportation if you get busy cause its just a short walk. My DD is 20 now and we have done Chef Mickey for dinner every year for about 10-15, even though she was older it was a tradition and we enjoyed the food, I know it's not great but I like any food I don't have to cook, plus she still liked seeing the characters. Well last year we were so disappointed in the food that we won't go back this year for dinner it will be for breakfast. Have a great time!

I would also move towards breakfast. I agree with a couple comments. Dinner is somewhat unimpressive. I also think it's an awesome idea to get to MK, do a couple things, grab fast passes and then head over to Chef Mickey. You'll be there eating brunch and won't have to deal with the often crazy lunch crowds at MK. Then you head back and have fast passes to use or do whatever.

I agree with this plan!
