During our September trip to WDW, we're trying to do a variety of Character meals. We've got breakfast scheduled at CRT and at Cape May. We have another date planned at MK and we're thinking of trying to pick up both Chef Mickey and the Crystal Palace on that date. This is our first family trip to WDW and have had folks tell us the Chef Mickey's is a can't miss. We're thinking about picking up CP. Right now, we have an evening ADR for CM. If we add CP, should we make it the breakfast and keep our CM dinner ADR or would you have CM breakfast and Crystal Palace for dinner?

Or, are we overkilling the character meals? In addition to those ADRs mentioned earlier, we have ADRs at Le Celliers, 50s Prime Time, Ohanas, and Boma. What do ya think?

Thanks.

I haven't been to either in a really long time, but I know that CP can be extremely crowded and noisy.

I think two character meals in one day may be a bit much. Personally, given the age of your kids, if I had to drop one I would skip CP. Of course, you know better than I if they are interested in the Pooh characters, but in general I would assume that older kids are not as into them. But if you want to do both, I'd recommend a CP dinner and a CM breakfast. I have just heard better things about CM's breakfast.

BTW, I think your other restaurant choices are great. JJ

Do not go to Crystal Palace! I went Tuesday evening and was up all night throwing up. The funny thing is that night was the smallest dinner I had because the food choice is so bad at CP. I didnt like anything. Believe me you go there for the characters not the meal. I was extremely upset bc it took the rest of my honeymoon to recover from that night. Just wanted to tell you! :)

We had CP and CM last Sept. both for breakfast and we liked CP much better for the food. There are more people there but my daughter liked Winnie better than goofy. We didnt think the food was that great at CM but I guess it could have been an off morning because everyone else seems to like it better. We preferred CP and are going again in Sept. Also we have done the 50"s cafe and while its not a character its still really fun and the food is really good too. We're trying Boma and Ohana this year. Hope this helps.

Bridetobe,

So very sorry to hear you were sick on your honeymoon. What a bummer!!
Also surprised that you got sick from eating at CP. We have eaten all 3 meals there at one time or another, and more than once. The food was always great, lots of choices, and never once gotten sick. I hope that you let guest services know, so they could have the oppportunity to investigate.

I work in the food services industry, and know it's important for food businesses to know when such a problem arises. If they don't know it's broke they can't fix it.

Gotta tell ya, I got sick after eating at what is now called Fulton's crab House at DTD. And it was on our honeymoon almost 22 years ago! After dinner there, (I had prime rib) we went back to our hotel and I got sick. It was wierd as I did not feel bad, it's just bounced back. Could never understand why. And in case you're wondering, I did not report mine. Mainly because I never felt nausious or sick at all. So I did not think it had anything to do with restaurant. It may have been just all the excitement, running around in the heat all day. It was July and hot.

Anyway, again I'm sorry this happened to you.

Blessings,
Winnie
