any recommendations on a back up plan if I can't get Chef Mickeys for breakfast? I was thinking maybe Tusker House (?) and would love some recommendations!
DD is 4 and is a big mickey, pluto and goofy fan!

I have not gone to Tusker House for breakfast. Though I have heard it is good. We like Ohana for breakfast. They have Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. It is served Family Style and the food and service has always been good. They have a parade with the Characters for the kids too. My DD2, and DD4 really like it.

I second O'Hana:thumbsup2 Good TS! The kids loved the parade and the characters were very interactive. We had one of the first seatings so it was not very busy and the characters were abel to spend a lot of time at the tables.

TH is good. Well, the food is good and it smells SOOO sweet when you walk in. The resturant is loud and the tables seemed really close together. The characters seemed kind of hurried too. BUT this is the only place that has Daisy Duck.

CP is very good for breakfast and ADRs could get you into the MK before the park even opens.

There is also 1900 PF at GF. I have never been there so can't comment on the food or characters.

Tusker House is great, and has a selection of food. Only thing that I've found about it, is that it can get loud when they do their hourly dance.

We had to cancel our HoopDeeDoo ressie due to plane delays on arrival date so that left us needing a ressie after we got there. The CM at POP helped us by making a b-fast ressie at Tusker House for just my mom and us three adult daughters. It was fantastic! (Let me say that we also had no children on this trip at all but did enjoy several character meals..haha) This was our first time doing the dining plan so we did several places that we've never eaten before. We really liked Tusker House better than Chef Mickey's. As someone said this was the only place we saw Daisy Duck. We saw all of the same charcters at Tusker House and Chef Mickey's with the exception of Daisy Duck. It seemed the food was fresher at Tusker House and we ate later than we did at Chef Mickey's.

We loved Tusker House last year for breakfast. The buffet has the typical Disney breakfast foods, including Mickey waffles, Yummy!!!, but also had some very nice regional dishes too.

We liked Tusker House more than 'Ohana. Much more variety at Tusker House. We were all able to find plenty to eat at Tusker House, not so much at 'Ohana. I don't like eggs, so at 'Ohana, I only had Mickey waffles, sausage, juice and fruit. There were lots of pastries at Tusker House, bacon, sausage, bread pudding (YUM), cereals, potatoes, and pancakes, I think. Plus egg dishes, oatmeal, and other stuff I won't eat!

:)I think our ressie at TH was for 8:40 back in December. It was on an EMH morning and we went ahead to the back of the park. The safari was not up yet, so I took a chance and they let us into Tusker House early--about 20-25 minutes early. It was a lot of fun and I got a great pick of my 71 yr old Daddy with Donald his favorite!
